In one of his interviews Warnock said he had a long chat with camara one day and told him something like he needed to work hard and not just rely on his talent. That seems like the reason he probably wasn’t playing. Would like to think if Nagle is giving it a go to is year and putting some money in he might be able to get Camara signed up. If not, get a good deal with a big sell on and bring in a replacement. I think he’s a really good player and could be a star. Maybe a move to Italy might suit his playing style more than England, although I don’t think Italy is the best place for a black guy to move to. Lukaku, Abraham, Smalling, Tomori just four names that quickly jump off my head. Absolute nonsense mate.

My wife’s friend went on holiday to Italy and restaurants wouldn’t let her and her husband in because they’re a mixed race couple. Might’ve been near Naples, not sure. I have a mate that wouldn't go to Italy for the same reason. It’s far from nonsense, I just suggested that there might be places he’s more likely to feel welcome. Perhaps not the most tactful thing to say but it’s something he might consider.

Such a shame really as Italy is a beautiful place.

Trying to think back to Billings first 20 or so games and whether he managed anything near the quality Camara showed in that game at home to Cardiff.
He has more potential than anyone else I can remember us having here in the last 25 years, it will be really disappointing if we don't get a massive fee for him.

Etienne Camara is sadly a case of Town being played by an agent. They (they being Camara and agent) refused to sign a new deal until Town gave him first team minutes. Town did that then reapproached after a couple of games to be met by the agent asking for Camara to be made the top earner at the club. Obviously not something Town were prepared to do. Then came interest from elsewhere prior to the January window and his agent trying to get him moves elsewhere. Etienne by all accounts is quite a nice, quiet unassuming lad but his agent sounds like a complete whopper.

I believe that Etienne changed his agent during the course of the season, not sure exactly when. I think he was with a small independent agency that only has a few players - including Loick Ayina - and now he's will a far bigger Agency with a lot of players, including some in the Premier League and Bundesliga If he does leave then it'll be a shame, as he is a top top prospect. But if he's not going to sign a new contract then we need to get him moved on this summer. Low transfer fee with loads of add-ons and a big sell on clause.

After being dropped by Fotheringham, he regularly to be seen, signing autographs & posing with young Town Fans, in the car park. Not a clever move by our former First Team Coach Buzz, no wonder he won't sign a contract extension - UTT.

His agent has some balls wanting him to be made top earner at the club, when he's hardly played

He played the full 90 minutes in each of Warnock's first two games and was then a sub in the next three.

Yeah he did around the time he got in the team. Quite a bit of interest in him so far, I suspect he will be away this summer.

If the rumours are true and NW is staying for another year then surely the lad needs to move on! He's not a NW type of player so good look to him looking for somewhere where his talents will be appreciated.

I don't think that that proves that Camara is not and can never be a Warnock type.

Get as much as we can for him, reinvest it all in the squad for next season. No point keeping a valuable asset who wants to leave (irrespective of whether or not their agent is behind it) with only a year of a contract left. He's not exactly someone we'll miss if he leaves, lad has hardly played for us. Just don't sell him to a club in our league, please.....
