Heard this a lot about us trying to do things differently. Absolutely crap. How about been organised, with a clear style of play, fit and strong and with a good team spirit. With a manager who leads, gives the fans something to believe in and can motivate. Look at how many different clubs Fotheringham has had as a player and coach. Tells it's own story. All of the above will see us do very well. How do you know MF isn't organised.? How do you know he doesn't have a clear style? How do you know he won't lead and give us something? Had we heard of Wagner? Had Norwich heard of Farke? Brentford with Frank? I am not saying it is all going to be rosy, but I don't understand how people 'know' he will fail. Get behind him, otherwise what is the point in supporting the team.

I think this is a very brave appointment and can't help but feel the upper echelons have gone 'all in' with Mr Fotheringham. The club needed an appointment that could excite the fans and provide a much needed boost to the club. From a PR perspective this absolutely does not do that, however to take such a gamble they must have seen something worthwhile in him.
Either way, his first game will be very interesting. He deserves and needs our backing.

Siewert and schofield and now this fella! A great record to fill us all with confidence...lol It's the blind following the blind on here! Mark my words...in a few weeks time when we are as good as down and the media are saying..why didn't they pick someone with a bit of experience with this league instead of a complete novice...most on here will then follow suit There's no pre- season...we aren't in a healthy position...yet we hire a complete novice to stop the rot!! It's the end for bromby and Dean when this inevitability goes tits up in the next couple of weeks...I no longer have and confidence in this regime I'm a season ticket holder but will be staying away for the rest of this season now...I'm not prepared to blindly follow this regime Good.

You can't compare any of Siewert, Schofield and this guy. Siewert came in when we were basically down and buried and had players at the club who did not care about HTFC, they just wanted PL football and a pay check. Schofields biggest experience was with Leeds U23s. How do you know this regime will fail? It could do, but you seem certain it will.

Its just my opinion of following this club for 40,odd years now I'm not getting into arguments with people anymore or trying to score points I just don't understand why a club with a good fan base of around 20k has to constantly belittle itself and take crazy gambles all the time

I can see both sides, but people that aren't willing to give him a chance and are 'certain' he will fail is harsh. It could go either way. Nobody knows. We could have a Wagner, Farke or Frank on our hands or we could have a Siewert, Schofield.

I can't believe we're going for an unproven manager who's never coached a senior team before, has limited experience of coaching including getting relegated, no knowledge of the championship, all while we're in a relegation battle!
..would've also been a perfectly correct thing to say about Wagner when he arrived.

Lets all be very honest , we know hardly anything about MMF, I doubt many had heard of Mick Buxton before he was appointed either. The man does seem to lack experience at this level, however that does not mean he is necessarily going to be an abject failure.
If MMF is appointed , which seems extremely likely now , it is up to the players and fans to embrace him and rally round. Criticising his appointment at this stage is unfounded, lets make a judgement on his appointment after 5/6 games instead of dismissing him before he's opened the managers office door. I wish MMF well and welcome him to Huddersfield Town, and hope his tenure is a complete success.

If this is anywhere near the most deflating times you can remember supporting town, you should be doing your homework, not wasting time on here! Bore off you sad man. I’ve spent enough time on here to know your the sad man who spends half his life on here pissing everyone off. Just looked 37000 posts Wow , take it back I m not getting involved in a tit for tat with you . You r datm sorry !!!!! Crikey, it really was past your bedtime wasnt it!

I feel thoroughly deflated, however, I don't know the man, know nothing about his style of football and management capabilities, so I hope I am proved wrong.
I don't want to play in League One. No offence to anyone who plays in it, it just feels bloody sad to think of us in League One after reaching the playoff final last year (and being robbed!)

What teams he produced.

Hoyle and Bromby have got what they want…a yes man grateful for the opportunity who won’t grumble at 50p to spend. I will back him in the stands though, as I hope other town fans do too.

Initially very disappointed But having sat on it a while I'm not as negative as I was - he will rattle cages and upset people no doubt. Whether that works I'm not so sure but it won't be boring. My biggest concern is that he doesn't appear to be bringing anyone with him - he'll work with what's hear - that's a recipe for failure in my eyes but we'll see. Does that leave room for Danny Schofield to remain as part of the coaching team, or has he now left the club? he has lrft

Hmm. yet he has coached a senior team right, just not in a Head Coach capacity, save for the Hoffenheim game where he stood in for Magath. I think the only issue here is that most on here were waiting and expecting Wagner to get the gig and this appointment does not set the pulses racing. Whilst it's not overly exciting me at the moment, let's see how things go? It could be good. We could be the next Watford!
