Got to back him and give him a chance.
Ticks lots of boxes - worked in Germany with a set up that we want to replicate. - worked with top coaches in Germany, Felix Magath for one - speaks the language (well Scottish) - good articles on him and his character does seem what we need
Also lots of concerns / risks - never managed before - not a big name to get in stand respect - another young good coach (isn’t that what we got rid of) - fans will not get behind him as much as say DW to start with.

The only box he ticks why we’d want him, is he’s young, desperate and will do whatever he’s told from above.
Just like Dean likes em.

If true this is tragic.
Felix Magath is not a top class manager, the bloke is a complete fraud.

I wrote Bromby off a long time ago. Have you written off Fozzy? I stand by my statement that it is my opinion that another gamble on an unproven (at this level) appointment would be catastrophic given our current position.

Cheap ✅ Grateful for the chance ✅ Will toe the line ✅ Won’t demand funds spending in January ✅ Will dance to Hoyle & Bromby’s tune ✅
Certainly ticks all the right boxes

Until Maynard likes it I call bullshit Let’s hope you’re right. Dave Hockaday was more well known than this boy.

Could work out, but that is Siewert, Schofield and now this guy as the last three managers under Hoyle. Punt after punt after punt, none of them had ever managed a first team before taking on a Championship club.

Didn’t Bromby say one of the reasons they went with DS was that all the people they wanted were in work when CC left? This guy has been without a job since the end of last season?

If I'm proven wrong fair enough but absolutely no way would the club take such a risk after what has happened this summer, how low down in the league we are and how apathetic the fans are right now. Would be commercial suicide.

Whilst it would hardly be an inspiring appointment on the face of it, that's really because a lot of folk know very little about him and were pinning their hopes on it being Wagner
There's been rumours before that Wagner and/or his family didn't want to return to the UK and if true, what can the club do? Most of us knew very little about Wagner when he was appointed, other than he worked with Klopp, so what's to say Fotheringham (if it is him) won't have the same impact.
Whoever gets the job deserves the fan's backing, at least until we know what he can bring the club. All good managers/head coaches have to start somewhere.

This would be a farcical appointment after the big song and dance about having to do everything to get this appointment correct. He could be unbelievable but it would go against everything we’ve said. Scary.

We don't know this chap is the man, and he might be very good but...
He'll need to hit the ground running. Fans' patience has been tested and another, forgive the phrase, "experiment" isn't going to wash. Of course no appointment is guaranteed to deliver success but everything that has gone on I think something more solid may have generated confidence.
It may not of course happen but if it does there is little margin for error.
