"Nothing up front, no midfield and hopeless at the back." Fair summary from Reading commentator.

This is as bad as I’ve seen, I’d leave Mbete in Reading.

I wonder what the record for number of managers used in a season is 🤔 MarktheHorn would probably know. 😁

I know that Colwill was a tough act to follow, but Mbete wouldn't look out of place in a pub team. He's absolutely dog shit.

I cannot watch the game any longer, total embarrasing, worst performance I have seen in years by us, we are in a mess club wise. I am always positive when things are not going our way, but we are on a massive decline, I kid you not. A calamity of a goal to top it off.

My god we are horrific. This bloke isn’t lasting 10 games. 100 quid he does. He has had 3 days. Judge him when Hull at home come round Why can't we judge him on an away game? Aren't we allowed to win those?

I know that Colwill was a tough act to follow, but Mbete wouldn't look out of place in a pub team. He wouldn't last two minutes in a pub team. The other players would tell him to get lost.

Mate is a Reading fan at the game and he says we’re an absolute shambles. Worst side he’s seen this season. I didn’t expect anything from these two away games so the result is no surprise because the performances have been dreadful this season. Todays performance is very worrying, we needed to see some immediate improvements and that shouldn’t be hard to achieve because we’ve been awful this season. The players either aren’t doing what they’re told to or they’re not good enough to, either way Fotheringham needs to find something quickly.

I wasn’t going to comment today no matter the result as the new chap (whoever he is) deserves a chance to make a difference but fuck me that 3rd goal was the most ridiculous shambolic bit of defending I have ever seen in professional football. I would have been outraged if my previous Junior side many years ago conceded a goal like that. We are worse today than even against Preston and I wouldn’t have thought that possible. I’m all for giving a new guy a chance and he has inherited the proverbial poisoned chalice, but dropping Camara for Russell was baffling and no Tino even on the bench (and Pat Jones) is hard to understand - are they injured or faces don’t fit ?? On this performance our days in the football league look over in a couple or 3 years time. How very depressing.

Not a clue what formation we are trying to play or what his tactics are and neither do the players by the look of it.
When listening to his interview the other day I was really worried that when asked about his style of play, or how he was going to get us going, all he could talk about was how he had done an apprentiship and worked in the Bundesliga. He didn't come across tactically astute at all, whereas Wagner and Carlos seemed like real thinkers and analysts. This guy keeps saying about giving the players freedom to play, which I translate to giving little tactical instruction and hoping the players are good enough to work it out for themselves. Going from Carlos giving detailed instructions to the players throughout the game to this, seems like a pretty stupid decision.
I think Chicho has more about him than this fella. He had us far more organised in the last game against Cardiff, and it looked like we had a plan.

Today and Luton probably too early to judge. If fixtures were the opposite way I would say wait until Hull away. So before trying to being a clever dick. Read properly.

He can’t be this bad - he’s at Man City for goodness We had the best young defender in England & future England centre half with us last season - he was never going to be that good

What is the plan?
No press?
No filling midfield to control opposition possession?
Aimless outballs?
Midfield hiding?
No shape?
Full backs/ wing backs?
Lack of mobility presence up front?
Clueless
I’m not normally bang on negative but this is truly one of the worst performances I have seen in years and I watched em slide from Div 1 to Div 4 in old money.
Interested to hear our new manager explain this.
