The thing that pisses me off is we have 2 defenders out on loan that are clearly better than him. But someone somewhere made the ‘clever’ decision to let them go. Fucking morons.

Mbete looks like a kid in an open age game. Bit frightened of the big lads.. Wonder if they dont allow physical contact in city u23 games? Think this relates completely to the Joey Barton rant. These U23 players are protected, much like Odubeko last season. Mbete came up against Adebayo who's grown up playing non league and he's absolutely bullied him.

much better by Town, more energy and movement is great to see..but gifting goals at the back is sapping the confidence of this team
But we let Sarr go, and pearson still injured.. Will Foz make changes at half time in defence..what are the options ?

Given the choice between Betty from Some Mothers Do Have Em and Mbete, then I would choose the former every time. From Colwill to Mbete, what an almighty come down. And given his disastrous performances so far, and especially his impersonation of Coco in that 3rd goal on Saturday, then you have to wonder what MF is seeing in him. Can’t understand what LB has seen in him either to bring him into the club. Terrible lack of judgement from both of them. Agreed.....not sure what they saw in this lad playing for the U23s that made them think he could handle a windy Tuesday night in Luton Simply baffling

Mbete needs to be dropped.
I thought REG was playing better than him earlier in the season.
I wonder how much Man C are paying him a week. He’s robbing a wage whatever it is…

Meanwhile REG is out on loan at Wigan who are 3 points off the playoffs with games in hand. Absurd.

He's surely got to take Mbete off, I'd go 4 at the back instead of bringing Boyle on. Get Turton on ffs and that's something I didn't think I'd ever be saying. Turton has been one of our better players this season...that's something I didn't think I would ever be saying

I'm still shaking my head after the previous post, but fuck me Mbete... I don't think I've seen a worst performance by a defender.

Thought and said we would miss Pearson more than some thought.
Not just the ability to defend like a standard defender, but the partnership with lees.

Got to admit, I genuinely think we will be in League 1 next season. Last season we built everything on our solid defence. We dont have that anymore. I mean I dont even think we have looked good going forward? We have only looked likely from set pieces, but I cant remember us having any decent clear cut chances that we have created and missed? Every game we look like conceding with every opposition attack, and under the new man we have conceded 6 times in 135 minutes of football. No leaders on the pitch who are organising anything, shambolic defence, no or little quality, rookie coach. Very depressing.

When's the next raffle tickets available to manage HTAFC? I might have a dabble. I think Mbete must've won a raffle to get on Man City's books. Not having it at all that he's genuinely a professional footballer.

No point blaming Mbete, the problem starts with Hoyle, then Bromby. A young 18 year old on loan shouldn’t be the difference between winning and losing games.

If Mbete comes out second half, we should be looking for a new manager tomorrow. He’s worse than Tucker, Trotman, Houduto …

Anyway, Camara was very impressive again. He's got as good composure as Russell, but actually puts himself about. Jackson looked good on the ball as well and looks better than Ruffels

Much more encouraging and really hope Kasumu can stay fit. I agree we are horrible at the back and Mbete looks way out of his depth but I also think we appear to be playing with no defensive midfield player which is not helping.

I’m finding it hard to be critical of the club over this. This lad is very highly thought of and i’m 100 per cert sure he’ll have 10 times the career of the other 2. But fuck me this lad is a rabbit in the headlights and i can’t see how we can pick him again before January when City will obviously take him back.

I’d be recalling Crichlow tomorrow and possibly Scott high too.

aint got a clue what to make of that 1st 45!! Much improved performance scuppered by Mbete being absolutely horrendous. Nicholls made himself look stupid and annoyed the ref with theatrics early on too.

Edmonds Green is not a young lad - He’s nearly 24 …entering the peak of his career
Likewise Critchlow is 23
