My main concern appears to be his desire to give multiple young players a chance and he hinted at he may add even more of them this weekend even though this strategy has not worked in the 2 games so far. 3 1 Hull He didn't play any at Reading - we lost. He played 2 V Luton - we drew. 1 of which was Camara who we all cried about not playing at Reading.

6 goals conceded after 2 games and fans so downbeat after 1 game that they started a poll about how long he will last is a major concern to me. Quite a few assists from our defence (if not all?).......a clean sheet on Sunday would be a 'nice' shock.

Really tough game this with hull potentially having a new manager in too .
Imagine it’ll be close , feisty and lacking quality. Think there will be plenty goals though looking at both teams defensive records.
Sounds like Hogg not back in time and really can’t see us using Russell which may mean Holmes is pushed back .
Nichols
Helik lees Nakayama Thomas Camara Holmes Jackson Rudoni Ward Rhodes

Eight all draw with three og’s apiece. Man City lad at fault for four goals and taken off after twenty minutes. Rhodes to score five penalties. Jagermeister and stilton ?

I’m thinking Russell and Ruffels particularly

Softboy, you’re really too soft if you’re upset by a legitimate poll after that first game where our players not only didn’t react to their new boss, but even gave up, in what some on here have said was the worst Town performance they’d seen in decades. I plainly stated as the OP that he’ll still be our manager next season, but was interested in what others thought. I think he’s showing a steely determination, taking no nonsense from the slackers, and think he’ll do well for us. Now go and put your security blanket into the washing machine to wash out all those tears you cried into it.

Wonder who the surprise personnel expected tomorrow are. Personally thinking will be spencer however can’t decide where he will play as can’t see sorba been moved from the wide position. Maybe he plays in a defensive midfield role?

I like what Fotheringham is trying to do, I’m just worried it’s the wrong approach for right now. We don’t have enough match winners, create enough chances or have the right level of pace and strength to cause teams real problems in open play. It’s why so many of our goals are from set pieces.
By being so attacking it opens us up to the counter, and most other teams seem to have the pace and skill to cause us problems.
It’s why Corberan went from being ultra attacking to pragmatic.
Tomorrow is a must win game so we can’t afford any slip ups. They seem to have bought some foreign players with good pedigree, no more mistakes or they will be punished.

Really big game this. A win means 4 from 2 and the start of a mini unbeaten run which could really kickstart our confidence. Going for 2-1, Rudoni and Rhodes

We need to press Hull. When I've seen Hull, they've faffed around at the back and looked to lack confidence. Press them high, and force them into mistakes while winning second balls, and show intent in possession; if we do that, we'll win. The concern would be winning second balls without Kasumu or Hogg. Would it be worth playing Ruffels and pushing Jackson into midfield, or vice versa? It's what I think I'd do.
I would also keep two up front. Getting the ball into danger zones early while in possession with a press out of it is made easier by more bodies further up the pitch. Although we're lacking bodies in the middle, if we compensate elsewhere we'll be able to put pressure on.
My team:
Nicholls
Lees Helik Nakayama
Thomas Holmes Camara Jackson Ruffels
Rhodes Ward
Injuries and suspension give that side a really unbalanced look!

Who's their new manager ? PonteTerrier is confused; I'm guessing that he means the caretaker manager who oversaw their midweek win.

They may have a decent striker but they have scored the same amount of goals as us this season & conceded 5 more. Also, Pedro Martins was set to be announced as their new manager but that fell through yesterday.

Watched Hull the other night and they make us look fluid, they were playing like Barclays over 50's! If we tighten up and Ward finally wakes up we should win by 3 or 4 goals.
