Massive win. I like that he gave them a hard time at half time. We were too slow on the ball especially in midfield. Much better in the second half. I think the short pre-season didn’t help us at all and the blame for that firmly lies with EFL. Everybody knew about the early start for the season. The play-offs should have been quicker. Less time before the finals. I’m guessing that the players had to have a certain amount of time off ? So town started when they could? It left us playing catch up. I like the look of Mahoney he is very good on the ball and does the simple things really quickly. Something to build on now and congrats to the new manager. Get the feeling if they aren’t putting it in, then they won’t be playing. The way it should be. UTT. You'll be destroying your reputation if you're not careful. Not a single piece of negativity? Have you been hacked? I know is going on… We also had 4 first 11 players out as well. I like that he isn’t afraid to set down the rules. Work or don’t play. He seems to give both praise and criticism. He has made a good start after inheriting a dire situation. ie Kamara first half was in slow-Mo… second half he was double speed… Let’s hope we can put a little run together and club up the table. UTT

Was speaking with a mate this morning, his son in law is part of the huge backroom staff. Reckons this guy a proper upsetting a few of them. Straight talking jock. I can just imagine what he thinks of some of our lot. If true, they need to grow up. Most on here would get a bollocking, disciplined, whatever for poor work performance. They get so much in terms of care and things done for them. The wages they are on. True professionals will take the bollocking and buck up their ideas. Any who don't can go for me. Rumours I know, but if one is Russell, he needs to realise we gave him his chance. Mbete, he can go back if he is the other. In Mbete's case I think he's shown himself to be so far off ready for first team football that he'll be kept out of the team for some time regardless of how well he trains. If they weren't in the matchday 18, that's who I'd be looking at ..... if he was singling anyone out at all. It's entirely possible that he was just making clear to everyone inside & outside the club what his expectations are. I doubt anyone has been written off yet though - so a bad start in training doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be shipped out. A bit of a kick up the backside for anyone not included yesterday though.

Players leaving early i'd think were on the wrong end of a bollocking ? told to f*ck off and report back for training on monday ? I like this guy, (Foz), he's doing what no previous managers have done and dealing with the wasters..crikey if Mbenze, Diakhaby and co had been here.. I also like he isn't hiding behind glib phrases to 'protect' the players confidence..if they're crap he's calling it. I think for this season if we can finish 12th-14th would be an achievement..then , again, it depends whether Deano will give him a chance to strengthen the squad and make progress..no manager likes to just tread water season after season. Was speaking with a mate this morning, his son in law is part of the huge backroom staff. Reckons this guy a proper upsetting a few of them. Straight talking jock. I can just imagine what he thinks of some of our lot. As long as it's justified and he's picking his battles wisely then I don't mind that. You can't constantly go to war with anyone but at the minute we need some intensity. Thomas was closing down like a man possessed yesterday. He still can't tackle but he was getting stuck in and it was great to see.

Do we want players who think they are bigger than the manager No matter what we all think of the manager surely the players have to respect him.

I don't mean that some players should be exempt and he just picks on the same players or easy targets. I meant more than he needs to balance lots of stick with some carrots as well.

No idea why he got so uppity with their full back though. Modern game I suppose.. players dont like being tackled with any sort of aggression. It was the kind of tackle Dave Cowling would have received 20 times in a game and just got on with it. In truth Sorba bottled the challenge which was why he got hurt ( if he even was ) then laid there like he was dead long after it was clear he wasnt going to get the free kick that it never was anyway. Then tried a rather pathetic attempt to 'do him' a minute later that achieved nothing but getting himself booked. Not sorbas finest moment in an other wise decent performance.

Think just means can’t just be having a pop and giving players it fit sake of it.If you have genuine reason to be doing it and can back it up with evidence/facts or examples then fair enough I happen to think the squad need this discipline. However if your just going off on one at will players will soon see through it and if you upset too many your knackered. It’s s balance I suppose. At the minute he can point to the first ten games and justify it and all the extra hard work he’s putting them through but there will come a time to reign it in. Guess that will probably happen naturally as he knows what players he trusts and who reacts to what etc.Wins will help speed up that.

Where's andjurin? Excuse the spelling Out for the foreseeable. Glandular Fever. Such a horrible illness to shake off. Likely to ruin his career, could explain his lack of energy. Comes on slowly at first very unlucky

Crazy thing about that incident is Thomas took so long to commit, with no anticipation, I think he could've easily been first to the ball. It looked even more in his favour than the 60:40s Pritchard used to constantly lose.

By todays standards he'd be regarded as a hard man!

I saw a bit of the match re-run the other day as I was having my lunch and saw the Sorba incident. To be fair the ball was hit pretty hard initially but was slowing up a bit as it came towards him and as the full back running full pelt.
He was waiting for the ball to get to him but it didn’t have quite the legs and that’s how the defender got there first.
Not really a bottle job (although he’s done plenty of those), half a yard away from him getting past the full back and being in. Was great defending in the end.
