Yes I’d go with this. I don’t normally want town to lose but I’d take a loss at Middlesbrough to get this clown out of our club and give us a fighting chance of staying in the division You might as well hope Town win to get out of this mess. If we were to sack MF I don’t trust the next appointment would be any better anyway so no point pinning our hopes on it. It’s a sad situation but we need to at least hope we pick up some points and try get a team or 4 underneath us in the table.

Or the powers that be should stop making novice appointments and they wouldn’t be in this predicament (again). Though our current situation is not good, you use plural ‘appointments’, last year we were at Wembley? Do you just mean the last 12 weeks? The previous owner appointed the manager that got us to Wembley. So yes I am referring to the last 2 cheap option appointments.

It’s a lot of if’s. I get we are all pissed off at the moment. Let’s get to the World Cup break and see where we are. We’ll have one foot firmly in League 1 by then if the situation is left. Time will tell. It does look that way at the moment but a couple of wins on the bounce can soon turn it around. We don’t look like winning at all at the moment but I’ve watched this game long enough to know that nothing is certain and fans are very fickle. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, it’s the nature of football to be fickle, I’m just the same, I’m pissed off but I’ve seen us go on unbeaten runs with an average squad previously and wouldn’t be surprised if we manage to scrape a few points together before the break.

The problem we have at the moment is that a couple of wins in the next 3 games may just keep us in the relegation race. Anything less than that is likely to leave us cut adrift. We're getting worse as others are getting better. It's getting very grim and I'm what is classed as a Happy Clapper on here!

I am of exactly the opposite to this. We won’t get anything today and I don’t think even the unlikelihood of a “credible draw” is enough given the perilous state we’re in. I think he needs to go now - maybe a hammering today will do it and it pains me to put this - we write it off to experience (again) and go all out to bring in someone who knows how to keep teams in the Championship and build the blocks for next season. Warnock is available and I would at least sound him out. Failing that, I would be ok if Carlo’s number 2 took over if only temporarily as I think the fans would unite behind him if they could see what he was trying to do as they did in his 1 game in charge. I don’t like or dislike Fotheringham and I don’t blame him for taking the job but he’s so far out of his depth it’s untrue! Relegation to League 1 is nowhere close to being nailed on but we are being cut adrift and simply delaying a decision is making the situation worse as the games go by and how long is it left before the situation becomes irretrievable? No team has a divine right to stay in a division but to be relegated because of successive incompetences with appointments by the Board would be a difficult pill to swallow and many will not follow us into League 1 because of this.

Reached the dizzy heights of Crewe whilst playing. Managed kids teams before scraping a playoff win from league 1. Win rate of 43%, then jumped ship for more money when management got to hard.
Sounds like a cracking option! 👍🏻

You could all start a Go Fund Me page to pay off Fotheringham’s contract, or should we just pick it from the magic money tree? Probably cheaper to start a Go Fund Me page to buy a skiing holiday for Dean. 🤔

Baby steps and all that but a minimum of 4 points required from the next 2 home games.

Considering he was hired as the cheap option, I’m doubting that those 3 years realistically amount to much compensation. Even at £5k a week, just casually throwing £750k around amounts to more than ‘not much’ Do you seriously believe a managers contract doesn’t come with clauses ? You think Cooper has got five years money up his sleeve if/when Forest sack him?

You think Cooper has got five years money up his sleeve if/when Forest sack him? Context. The average Championship manager earns approx £16k per week. I was being lenient.

If we sacked MF tomorrow we only pay him until he gets a new job (which some on here probably think would be at least 3 years from now) It’s why there was a financial issue with bringing Wagner back
