I suppose the real question is who on earth would want to buy us at this point?
Favourite has to be the ex Ipswich bloke (name escapes me), however, I understood that was on the basis of Hoyle keeping 25% of the shares.
I'm not aware of any other multi multi millionaire Huddersfield Town fans so it's going to be outsider. Anyone who follows this kind of thing elsewhere any ideas?
Mike Ashley anyone.....

All I have ever wanted is a club that is run with the community and fans in mind. An honest club. What I cannot stand are incompetence and fans being patronised.
1) “the fans changed their expectations “ 2) “we won’t sleep walk into relegation” 3) “This is a squad that can compete in the championship “ 4) “letting West Brom take 6 years to pay for Karlan Grant is good business for the club “ 5) “we struck a similar deal with Lewis”. - the next day Forest gave linguard a “lottery ticket” contract
All naive and bullshit to appease the fans. (I know grant was PH). Shambolic running of the club patronising 16k season ticket holders.
So, the first paragraph is what we need. Asap.

Fuck the Saudis. They can get in the sea with the Russians, Qatari’s, Emiratis and Yanks. They don’t have to come from the UK. But they must have integrity. P.S. nobody with a boat load of cash is buying HTAFC unless they fancy a vanity project. Very very harsh. Lived in the middle East for 12 years. Qatar for 5, dubai for 5 and Abu Dhabi for 2. What you see and read in the papers is over exaggerated. Qatar was my favourite. Beautiful country too. Been back 2 years in the UK but was in Qatar for the build up to the WC. They are proud to host it. These workers that have died is sad, but it hasn't been through slavery etc from what you hear and read. They are entitled to drink breaks etc, some just refuse. I worked in the Mena for close to 10 years. I don’t s’ppose you spent much time in the industrial areas of either Doha or Dubai where the slave camps were? I witnessed them shipped into football games and forced to on command of face sanctions, all for the cameras, I sat amongst them and I saw a man beaten for not being compliant. I also witnessed over 13 deaths, that’s not an exaggeration. One of which, the worst, saw a young Indian man who was forced to find shade in the summer midday heat on a break, flattened by a steam roller because one of his mates was scared of the retribution because it the engine wasn’t running. The next day the construction job still counted over one million man hours without an accident: they didn’t even stop the work. I’ve been at the table when decisions were made to make the poor homeless and the environment savaged at the hands of their progress. I’ve also born witness to countless moments of blatant racism. I see how they present themselves and their values, to only jump on a plane to Bahrain et al so they can gamble, shag and drink and then belittle, criticise and constrain our cultures whilst labelling us disrespectful. I’m sure they gave you a nice life, I’ve been to some stunning places and met some incredible people. But they don’t fool me; the stories / reports are real. And probably underestimated.

If I win the lottery I will definitely buy the club. Here's hoping the right three numbers come up. If you think there are only three numbers I can see a flaw in your plan.....

At least the repairs at the stadium would get done.

None of them scenarios were true at all. The buses they come on, collect them from their residence (they are horrendous, il admit that) to where they are going, but not one person was forced. This was Doha.

I suppose if we got someone who thinks women should be allowed to drive, dislikes slavery and doesn't want to stone gays then I'd be happy If I'm being brutally honest I'd put having a proper away ticket priority scheme ahead of allowing women to drive. PS I think I'm joking but please nobody put me in the position where I'm put to the test....

When 5 royals fed them for the week? Any dissent and they lost cash, do you think they had a choice whether to attend or not? I also actually witnessed a blokes passport being revoked and another sent back to India, without pay, for just sleeping. I know your Doha. But scratch the surface and it’s all there. You don’t need to look far. I was sacked and no longer allowed to return, not that I care, because I blew the whistle on an incredible amount of human rights violations. True story. I only wish I could have gathered more evidence. I still travel and hope to better the living and environmental conditions of countries in the rest of the MENA region, I just do it for a better cause now.

I clicked other on the basis I want an Owner who gives a fuck about the Club, is prepared to put his own money in it but is not some blood monied Saudi that could buy alleged 'success' like buying a can of beans.
Possibly a self-made successful local businessman who stood on the terraces as a young Lad.
Oh, wait a minute......

A slightly different perspective; how much do cash do we think an owner needs to be successful at this level?
Considering DH hit the rich list with a reported £280m, what do we think it takes?
Mike Ashley was considered a tight bastard and he’s worth £2.6bn!!

Fully respect the work you do, and I agree that living and working conditions aren't great. I just feel it is blown up too much in the media. We have people living the same kind of life here, but we don't have the same opinions towards England than the Middle East. I do hold Doha close to my heart, maybe it hits a nerve when I read all the negativity, when I believe there are many positives there too.

A Hollywood mega star or two like Wrexham got, who genuinely seems to care about the community/history of the club while obviously having the ambition and drive to make a successful investment.
Some proper sponsors, updated stadium, attention and creativity, and genuine ambition to progress and truly think out of the box… not just “copy Brentford”
Patrick Stewart could surely convince Hugh Jackman, a known friend/rival to Ryan Reynolds, to go halves on the club couldn’t he?

It’s difficult to remember in detail what football club ownership in general in this country was like 14 years or so ago when Dean Hoyle took over. Safe to say though that at Championship, even lower-mid level PL level, there were far fewer overseas-based owners than there are now.
I like to think that the vast majority of Town fans can agree that, overall, Dean Hoyle has been a very, very good owner of HTAFC. Yes, expensive mistakes have been made and his relationship with fans has become tainted this last few years, but overall he’s been fantastic.
It concerns me that, without thinking too hard about it, clubs that you could reasonably bracket as being about the same size as Town and having a similar level of potential and expectation that have been bought out by overseas consortia or individuals have more often than not suffered. Clubs like Charlton, Hull, Birmingham, Cardiff, Coventry, Portsmouth, Burnley. There aren’t too many clubs where you could reasonably feel envy about the owners they have (Leicester City might be one, I guess).
I wish this Baldwin fella all the best. We have no choice but to hope and trust he finds the right owner for HTAFC.

Personally, take results and position away, we are a prospect for potential buyers.
Excellent training complex and a ground which doesn't need anything doing to it, more so after the modifications we needed for the PL.
We are pretty low risk. We have a low wage budget for the championship. I genuinely believe DH and PH made sure we would only spend within our means and in line with their own personal finances.
For a multi million owner, there isn't much that needs throwing at Huddersfield Town as a club. Someone with a great deal of wealth would be able to rid the monies owed to DH and focus on the managerial staffing and playing staffing side of things.
I do think this next move though is make or break.

I'll answer that one when you address my previous question to you. The one related to your dislike of the "bullying" of Fotheringham on here compared to his actual, real life, passive aggressive treatment of Yuta. Been waiting a while, to be honest.
