Regarding Ruffels being POTS at Oxford. Andy Holdsworth was POTS here in 2008, within 3 years he was playing for Alfreton Town, having never got anywhere near the Championship. Thats a fair point. Fucking hell, just fell off my chair 😄 |

He hasn't been one of our best players every season. He was absolute crap until Wagner came in and has been a shadow of that player for the last few years. He only gets in the team because of nostalgia and as we know, Town fans love nostalgia. Ok, so you said..,but I, and all the managers we had in that spell all think he has been. Pretty much first name on the team sheet since he signed and for good reason. His levels have certainly dropped this season (playing with injuries apparently ) , but even so we still miss him and his leadership when he isnt playing. Leadership? He's a bully and a coward. Bollocking young players for his own mistakes isn't a leader or showing leadership qualities. When have you ever seen him go toe to toe with anyone? A pretend hard man that kicks people from behind, I can't ever remember him fronting anyone up or going up against a proper hard man. I do remember him almost coming to blows with both Ben Hamer and Sorba Thomas during matches. The one with Hamer was ridiculous and he'd have been well within his rights if he'd belted Hogg. And don't get me started on all that General bollocks. It's as bad as Paul Ince declaring himself The Guvnor. |

I mentioned administration only because :- a) Will the so called buyer want us as a League 1 team b) As a League 1 team I doubt that Dean will get any of his money back c) So if we are a League 1 team and Dean is not in a position to get his money back, will he continue to back us? He seems to be fed up of stumping up cash to keep us going so he may as well cut and run.This is all my interpretation of what relegation could mean to Town. I hope this dose not come to pass. It shows how well Carlos did. *awaits sarcastic reply about him being the messiah Two players don't make a squad, but I recall playing with a team that had two semi professional players in the team, having them there made me look good always available give me a out when I was under pressure etc. Once they left the team dropped like a stone. Sometimes two players can make a big difference to a team. Take out the best two players from any side and replace them with two young players that would be better with more experienced and better players around them and see the difference in performance you get from a side. |

I doubt its only all the managers hes had down the years who would totally disagree with you, but nearly all his team mates too. Hoggs been consistently one of our best players throughout the best period this clubs had in the 2nd half of its history. When I think of the 'legendary' Town players Ive seen since 1979.. then Hoggs right up there with them. |

He's been a decent Championship player - no more - without Mooy he'd never have played in the Prem. He's made the most of very limited ability through sheer hard work and determination - for that he should be respected and also be an example to some less committed but more talented individuals. But ... his physical attributes are on the wane - which is really exposing his lack of ability. Remember he's the one constant presence in our decline since the Prem. |
