Given I've not been that fussed by the world cup and couldn't give a shit about England, I'm glad the season is resuming. Ok we're not exactly doing well, but give me Town games (even if we lose) over international games (especially England games, even if they win the world cup) any day. Preferring a town defeat to an England world cup win, strange man.

I really don’t get the anti England brigade, strange bunch, I absolutely love an international tournament and why wouldn’t you want England to win it if you’re English? Makes no sense! if I’m honest this World Cup has been a nice distraction from a so far miserable season. As for Town I think we’re in big trouble and 2 really tough games to come back to doesn’t help our cause.

Birmingham, Blackpool & Rotherham have come away with points at Bramall lane this season. Infact half the teams that have played there have got something. It's going to be tough but they're far from invincible at home. Only trouble is,all the teams you mention are better than us Being bottom of the table, in theory, the 9 teams we've taken points from this season are all better than us aswell. That's the Championship for you though.

I wish Scotland were there (bloody hell it’ll be a QUARTER OF A CENTURY come next summer since we were at a World Cup finals) - scary scary stuff indeed ! But like yourself I’m HTAFC over country though I wouldn’t mind to try one trip with The Tartan Army as it looks a huge sing song and massive piss up wherever they go - Who knows, but with a knees up like they do I might even become addicted to it !!!! 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃

Club over country for me, but that does not mean I don't get hooked on watching England. May be different if we were a top team with players playing for England though. This WC has been a great distraction for fans with teams not doing so well. Here is to an England and Town double Saturday. Both to win 2-1!

Now it’s back it’s like we have to crash back to reality and wade through the shit again. At least we have the transfer window to look forward to. No wait, we’re going to trim again our severely depleted wage budget. Yay

Aye - they’re definitely a saviour every second summer sab even though the years they’re not on I’ve plenty to savour nature and fishing wise in The Beautiful Whisky Isle ! - And then there’s The Women’s finals - What a lift that gave England and they surely will be crowned as The BBC Sports Personality(s) of the Year as they well deserve that coveted trophy for sure... That said I’ve not got ‘into’ yet this year for various reasons - Primarily because I detest the time it’s on (though I accept and dearly hope that this hopefully one off will be beneficial to Huddersfield Town on a significant scale) but I’ve also been doing a lot of travelling by road and ferry and tying up the loose ends of a new car (well not brand new - not even for ma HU70DDY plate - ) but with all the Christmas shopping done, the cards and calendars written and sent (including one with lovely local pics to the wonderful staff at The HTAFC megastore) and just the deccy’s and wee artificial tree to set up - it’s time for me to get into it a bit more than I’ve done - But my goodness I’m Sooooooooo looking forward to Saturday and The best footy bar in The West Island and Town back on and the Saturday ritual that I’ve so badly missed this last six weeks ! ⏰ 🥃 Counting the minutes down already !!! 🥃 ⏰

An England World Cup win wouldn't make me feel anything. Town score, I go mad, England score and I'm not that bothered. Anyway, in terms of the game on Saturday, I hope we can get something, and maybe having a few players back will help. We need any points we can get right now

Any tips for free parking near the ground for a quick get away? Why is there something on the telly you want to get home for , last season we parked (free) in an area called healy, its not exactly near the ground but once in the car we were away quick enough.

Reckon we’ll lose convincingly. Doesn’t help we’re really struggling for goals this season.

Tomorrow will show us whether the 4 weeks off and the intense coaching / fitness training has benefited us. Will we see a marked improvement because some were grasping this WC straw as ideal for Town to re-set.
Would be marvellous to put in a good performance and come back with all 3 points..and the recovery starts here as we climb up the table..

You probably got away not too bad with that ram... In certain bits of Glasgow or Paisley you’d likely have been offered “Right then - Gies yer spade or else ya f#ckin fenian / orange (whatever he wasn’t) bas#ard” !!!!

I literally haven't missed the shit show that has been our season and its sad that I think that. There isn't much at all to be positive about at our club at the moment and the future looks even more uncertain.
I hope we stay up, not least because we will attract better investors and that's the only shred of light I'm clinging onto now.

He played all 2nd half of the Olympiacos friendly, so unless anything has happened in training, I think he should be.

how long before some people smell the gravy.after 8 games they were saying forest were in this position and look where they finished, that argument as now gone,so its now theres 26 games left argument, yes there is but also 26 or so games for every other team, were doomed this season lets hope we can get rid of the asset stripper as soon as possible
