I did not go yesterday , but it sounds as though we defended reasonably well again, Its our lack of goals though which is now a major concern. If we fail to add some firepower up front in the January window , then I believe we are doomed. It’s not too late yet , though money will have to be spent in January , and is this likely to happen , thinking of our current situation? I did go yesterday, and your summary is pretty accurate. But I'd say you can add as much firepower upfront as you like, but it's an ammunition supply issue. Ward literally didn't have a sniff. Yeah I agree we could probably do with a striker, that lad on trial isn't going to make a difference unless he is a creative spark from the left. We need players to create opportunities. Having hogg back isn't going to help that either, other than allowing Rudoni to play higher up. There are so many gaps in the team without any obviously weak players, or a team full of average players it's a full team problem and in reality replacements are only going to make a small impact unless we manage to bring in say 5 better players across the team. You look at the squad and probably and thought it was good tolll only LW and CF are places a new rad player could possibly make any significant impact, but we still need to address the supply to them. good support agsin pity some town f good support again but pity some vile fans thought it good to refer the death of billy sharps dRad baby. Vile morons

Not read all the thread but why did that bloke run onto the field and kneel down on the centre circle for, when the stewards caught up with him he was quite casual walking off with his hands in his pockets with no struggle.

Strange, I didn't go but from a video on this thread it looks like it is one of our fans?

Thought the last line of the Yorkshire post match report nailed it " For The terriers, sitting back and hoping will not wash" That is where we are at the moment. with 10 men behind the ball hoping for a miracle. True ,we are not getting done by four or five but everyone we play knows that one goal is all that is needed to beat us and once that arrives, like on Saturday, then it is cruise mode.

We can say the same thing after every game, it'll be the same story for the rest of the season as unfortunately we do not have anywhere near enough quality on the pitch to control or win enough Championship level games. The club knows this and are hoping for a miracle, you don't sell all your assets then slash the wage bill to £8m and expect to be anywhere but firmly in the bottom 3. Lowest budget in the division by some distance.

Just to try and add a bit of xmas cheer to this -
1st 7 games = 4 points 2nd 7 games = 7 pts 3rd 7 games = 8 pts
if we carry on with this trajectory we will finish on 56 points...safe ?

I wasn't at the game so can't provide an opinion based on any kind of eyewitness stuff, but if Steven Chicken's appraisal is accurate then we really are in trouble.
"The Welshman was the only Town player who looked remotely like getting the side going, but every time he broke up the wing or through the middle he would look ahead of him and find his teammates hiding.".
That needs knocking out of them. Or more accurately, it should already have been knocked out of them. Appalling.

I’m hoping I’m wrong and that Town pick up something at Watford on Saturday but I fear it’ll probably be another narrow loss and with every other club around us picking up point after point against superior opposition there’s sadly every chance that we’ll be cut adrift significantly by the half way 23 game point... We simply cannot rely on help from the ‘top’ teams this season and really need to win or at the worst draw and start picking up points and very soon at that or we are in the doo doo big time and need to hope that three are gonna be worse than us which even this early is looking like a big ask - Preston and Rotherham before Hogmanay are now shaping up to be critical critical matches for Huddersfield Town for sure !

Well thats certainly not what i expected, we're all aware its illegal to run onto the pitch but he wasnt doing it to antagonise, and certainly wasnt a danger to the players, i do hope they're lenient with him in the circumstances.

Like they were lenient to the vast majority of pitch invasions at the end of last season. Seriously hope the police see the emotion that led you to take this action and use a bit of common sense.

if players can't motivate themselves with the brass their on then fuck em and it means I made the right decision in getting my season ticket money back Are you basically saying you're only interested when town are doing well. Not at all and I've followed town for over 25yeara so I can't be accused of that, But the writing was on the wall this year as Hoyle has allowed the club to decline for the last couple of seasons and backed it up with cheap managerial options.

Mark was BelfastTownFan, used to have the vary large (some would say massive) Blue & White flag Mark & Pete used to sit in the seats next to me and my old man, for a couple of years at least. Rip Pete, you were an entertaining old bugger at the best of times. Don’t think Mark gets on here now but if per chance you do, our condolences are with you.
