It’s been very quiet again about our captain. He has always been a quick “healer “. This feels like he has been out for a long time.
Was he in Marbella ?

He was on some of the training videos alongside Pearson. Was hoping this break would give chance for a few back, seems like only Tino could be back into the squad. |

Only my opinion based on nothing but rumour but I believe hid injury will keep coming and going (coming on Friday and going Sunday) until January when he will move on.
If I’m right I will be disappointed, hopefully I’ve completed misread the situation and he plays on Saturday

Only my opinion based on nothing but rumour but I believe hid injury will keep coming and going (coming on Friday and going Sunday) until January when he will move on. If I’m right I will be disappointed, hopefully I’ve completed misread the situation and he plays on Saturday Sad if true. Has been a proper player for us. |

We need Hoggy back! He'll be competing with Camara and Kasumu, so who would you drop? We certainly don't want him in defence unless we want to go back to walking football. Our problems are further up the field and unlike some, I don't think we've missed Hogg. |

I would like a 4-1-4-1 formation with Hogg either dropping back to make a back 5 so Thomas doesn't have to, or pushing up into center mid to allow Rudoni to get further up

Hogg was really poor at the start of the season, we lost 5 of our 6 games with him in midfield. Camara & Kasumu are far better footballers.
He should be used as a substitute to hold on to a lead, not a player that can win us games from the start.

Booth Booth Booth Booth

Although I am not sure whether I would play three Booths in midfield and have an extra Booth upfront

If he was fit now - there's a space for him on the bench, with the likelihood of him stepping in if EC or DK are injured/suspended or we need an extra defensive midfielder to hold on to a lead draw.

Our use of substitutions might become more important than ever. Honestly think having a 6ft 7in forward on the bench might come in handy now and again. Truth be told Holmes did look better more often as a late sub etc... Hoggy coming on to hold a result might be a useful bonus. |
