does anybody know if the new keeper is injured?. I thought when Schofield was recalled the club were not going to recruit another keeper. Got injured in October playing for Czech and not played since. Seems like he trained yesterday though so hopefully okay for Saturday... Nice to see Yuta back doing some training |

Why the fook have we signed another keeper? The people running the club are totally insane, it's official, maybe we are going to atart with 3keepers to grind out 15 0-0 draws to keep us up. FFS. Probably because they don't want to be ina position where if Viclik gets injured first game out we don't HAVE to rely on Bilo. |

Probably because they don't want to be ina position where if Viclik gets injured first game out we don't HAVE to rely on Bilo. Watched Hull game and Coventry highlights. What has Bilo done wrong?. Hull game especially, some great saves. First time he made a mistake our crowd would turn on him! The thinking must be they'd prefer a reserve keeper with a bit more experience when we might be playing in big pressure games. Apparently the club is 'insane' because we've signed a back up keeper on loan? |

The lad is a goalkeeper. Played 5 times now and not had a bad game. The whole point is when someone is out you get your chance. Look at Smithies, didn't do him any harm. Can't even compare them with Schofield as he genuinely has zero talent. I know they are a class above, but look at De Gea, Kepa, Meslier etc. All got a chance at Bilos age. |

Hull game especially, some great saves. Done nothing wrong, I rate him highly as a keeper. BUT. And its a very relevant But, hes young and inecperienced and keepers are very isolated on the pitch if it goes wrong. Plenty on here were singing the praises of Schofield after a similar number of games and were going apoplectic at.the thought that he had come back to be back up keeper |

Bilo was in nets for that. Not sure if it has any relevance, that might just be the part they showed. Is it just me or was Knockaert blowing a bit in that video? Still getting fit I assume. Looks like he is getting there anyway. |

Hull game especially, some great saves. Before that howler at Watford, Ryan Schofield looked pretty decent as well. We have seen what happens when you can't pull a kid out of the limelight. I'd rather we looked after Bilo better than we did Ryan. |

Of not, he's either ready to step in off the bench, or he goes on loan to a National League side for regular first team football. This summer, Vaclik's contract has expired. Schofield's contract has expired. Smith has gone back to his parent club. Nicholls is fit again but if we're in Lg1 there's no way we'll keep him. That puts Bilo as our first choice goalkeeper (before his 21st birthday) unless either we bring someone in or Chapman/Bellagambi overtake him. If first team football ASAP is his priority (and I understand your point to be that), who is going to take him and offer better than that? |

My feeling is the Vaclik will leave in the Summer regardless, once his fitness is proven.
Nicholls will get a move away.
Schofield will get released.
We will sign Smith and have him and Bilo competing for the no.1 jersey.

I'd have rather saved or spent the budget elsewhere and had Bilo playing until Vaclik is fit and have Bilo on the bench. |

Be interesting to see who's in the pegs at the weekend. If your looking at training intensity then Bilo was way ahead of Vaclik in that training video.

And thats exactly what Paul Clements has suggested... “We mustn’t forget that both Nicholas and Jacob still require experience and as many minutes playing as possible, so Jordan’s addition allows us more flexibility should the opportunity arise to provide either of the younger boys time out on emergency loan or to the National League".
The extra keeper signing makes COMPLETE sense. With Tomáš likely to play all games this season, Bilo is going to get no experience other than sitting on a match day bench. Now, if the opportunity does arise for Bilo to get out somewhere and play competitive football, for a week as emergency cover here or there, or to the National League where there is no window, then he can go and do that and we've got someone to sit on the bench in his place. Not sure why this is classed as madness. Fotheringham says, " “We have an established number one and two in the group with Tomáš and Nicholas, but introducing Jordan gives us a second senior goalkeeper to round out that department." So Bilo will likely remain the number 2 he's been all season until and unless an opportunity to play elsewhere pops up. Not sure why that makes the club crazy / deluded / erratic / unplanned and various other hyperbole I've read in the last 24hrs - its the very opposite!! |

Completely agree re Bilo. He has shown he has the ability to be first choice and given the right support he will be challenging for that position in the summer. Things are toxic at the moment around the club at the moment and we need experience who have seen it all before. We all know what will happen if Bilo makes a mistake that costs us a game. The message will be. Why on earth did we not get a experienced keeper in to get us through this difficult period
