First time he made a mistake our crowd would turn on him! The thinking must be they'd prefer a reserve keeper with a bit more experience when we might be playing in big pressure games. Apparently the club is 'insane' because we've signed a back up keeper on loan? Have you seen how many games this lad has played since 2019? Think hes only played about 60 in his entire career and hes 28 ! Seems to be a professional back up keeper. Id imagine this call ( Bilo or Smith ) will have been made by Clements, who'll know more than anyone if Bilo would be technically and mentally where we need him if hes called on for a run of games. Presumably they feel he isnt quite there yet or that he is but we need another option anyway.

That "highlights" reel further up this thread doesn't inspire much confidence either.

If this guy has been signed at the expense of a midfield loan then i get the criticism.
I don’t think that’s the case though. He’ll be costing nothing and won’t play so i don’t see the problem.

Not sure if this has been posted before. It shows the level he has played at. He seems to have recurring knee injuries. He didn't play many games in his last season at Seville but was in most in his first season for Olympiacos. He doesn't back out of challenges.

He's really not very good.
His right knee doesn't work and he doesn't move properly.
Should have stuck with Bilo

I noticed that he seemed to be walking very strangely at half time against QPR.
Looked like he had problems with his knees / Legs / Hips

For someone who has played at the level he has, I expected him to be much better with the ball at his feet

Just highlights for me what a massive blow losing Nicholls was.

He was unsighted for their first goal last night, but hasn't made a meaningful save yet. I'm not going to dismiss him after three games.

Hed still get 7 / 10 most weeks......shame that cant be said much elsewhere. Wasnt impressed with the new fella sat albeit it was game 1 so deserves a run given his pedigree and time will tell.

He can't move to his right, because his right leg is on the wrong way round. He can't stand on his right leg, he stands on his left, with his right big toe touching the ground, for balance. He really looks to have serious issues with his right leg....We were hoping t wouldn't fall off during the game, we had a tram to catch, and the delay would have made us late....

Oh well, that sounds peachy, absolutely ideal for a goalkeeper 😂😂

Just highlights for me what a massive blow losing Nicholls was. Mentioned it before, Nicholls is also a leader on the pitch, even Thomas used to gee things up as well. Haven't been able to watch the last few games, so not sure if Hogg has dropped off with how vocal and upbeat he normally is. We're a rudderless ship just now, made worse by that lack of leadership on the pitch. Surely these lads can't be happy at accepting what appears to be the fait accompli of relegation? Get some fire in your bellies FFS... As for the new keeper, he's let in 3 goals in 2 games, haven't got an opinion on whether he was at fault for any of them.

To say he's a crap GK is blatantly wrong, he could not have had a career like he has without being found out if he was rubbish.
However, the only reason we have him is that he's crocked. I guess the powers that be are hoping a half fit ex-international GK can keep us up.

Leadership - we had Pearson - but he was directly responsible for their first equaliser and with others contributed to their second. Keeper - just doesn't fill me with confidence but not directly responsible for anything he's conceded yet. I don't think fire in the belly is the problem as much as focus and concentration and application of basics. Lowton - out of position - skewing everything into touch for a spell. Diarra - dithering, giving the ball away at the worst possible time again. Kasumu and Lees both a bit off it.

What we signed another injured player!
We just don't help ourselves.
Why do some people think that Bromby is doing a good job.

...instead of stregthening elsewhere.
Whatever else you think of Bromby and son you can't say they don't plan.
We bring in a goalkeeper with a known injury problem (see various previous DATM posts) but very wisely bring in another goalkeeper on the same day so we're covered for when our first goalie breaks down.
You couldn't make it up could you ??!!

Looks more like he does’t want his wooden leg to rub his stump. I’m guessing they didn’t get him to try catch a pig in a ginnel as part of his medical?!?
