We have spent less than them over the last year and we are with them in having one of the smallest wage budgets in the division. His reasons for possibly losing this tie are limited and he is therefore bullshitting long and loud. Id suggest Snodgrass, Lansbury etc are not cheap wages... His biggest problem about the play offs is he is playing us and not Forest or the Blunts where a 'good show' in a defeat would have been seen by the experts as ok. The fact the experts have given them 50/50 to get through has ruined his pre tie excuses. |

It's not his job to make reasoned impartial comments. It's his job to bring success to Luton Town AFC (and on that he's doing a good job).
It's kidology. Hyping up their underdog status by making out that we're this big money club. That's how he's chosen to approach it.
At the moment we have a head coach who tends to give honest, fair and impartial responses, so it's easy to take a swipe at them for having one that doesn't, but all in all I can't get wound up by him.
Comparisons to Garry Monk are laughable.

He's a very intense, very driven, very limited and very small man - not a great combination. Carlos is also very intense and quite small, but he has intelligence, humility and a respectful manner. So one comes across as a likeable fellow whereas the other just comes across as a bit of a billy-no-mates, angry oik.

Chavvy little rat isn't he. Looks like a hooligan type but credit where its due. He has got this team over preforming For that he deserves some credit and ? For some bizarre reason certain male individuals think that makes them hard or some sort or tough guy. No it doesnt - reasons as follows 1. You have to be a total c*** to pay the prices for Stone Island clothes (made in China with a detachable badge) that for some reason mean fuckwits pay stupid prices. Clever people buy a Primark and a badge off ebay ang get their Nan to work wonders with their 1930's Singer. 2. Real hard men at games don't advertise. They just slap those who think they are hard and walk away. No drama , no poncey clothes. 3. Burbury and Stone Island.....pffft.....wanna be casuals who would shite their pants when mixing with the real hard men of the game. and yes Nathan Jones is a c***. |

I think the c word is unjustified imho..
The bloke has done agreat job for his club..
However..

Its hard to know whether its all part of his plan. Make sure they are always the underdog, everything goes against them, they shouldnt be competing in this league with their budget, how many injuries they have had, every single referee decision goes against them etc. Is he just playing on it because thats part of what he thinks will bring success. Or is he deluded and literally believes everything he says? I really dont know. On one side I would like to think its the former, but there are so many managers who you listen to after games (not just against us but from a neutral perspective) and just think "have they actually watched the replays back because they are making a bit of a fool of themselves".

The guy is just doing his best to keep the "underdog" tag going for as long as he can as it clearly works for them.
Just says daft stuff to wind people up which is clearly working - I think the main thing for us is that Carlos is very calm and collective and unlikely to bite back.
I also noticed a couple of times on Friday (in the 2nd half in particular) he came on to the pitch to speak to the full back whilst the game was in progress!
