Thought his interview after the game was very humble. He’s a professional trying to gain any slight advantage he can, so not sure where all the hatred comes from. Think folk need to take stock of their lives a bit

The bloke has a team that has fought against all odds to get where they are and he is fiercely loyal to them. He is playing the hand he is dealt and Carlos aside I would never mind a manager with that much passion for town.

I have just watched Nathan Jones…. He firstly offered his congratulations…. He said they were better team and it’s hard to disagree…. He called out our nobheads at the end and he was right to do so… I was embarrassed by a good few of them.

Anyone can sit in and be pragmatic. ..and we were only ever gonnna score from a set piece and if you strip those out we wouldn’t be where we were….even though we were the only team to score a none set piece goal in the tie!!!🙄 |

I think he's a great tactician, coach, motivator etc but a twat if you get on the wrong side of him. He says shit he can't back up in interviews and I think only people who were down at the Luton end after will know if he was exaggerating or not. From the video I saw I think he was just protecting his players from a few arseholes. Extrapolating that onto comments about the club or fanbase as a whole though I'm not happy about

Why should it be OK for idiots to go unpunished just because they are isolated? Firstly .. I think the messaging needs to be strong and consistent. I would also look to sanction some folk in order to deter others .but a life ban for last night ? No way |

It does make you think, the people that run on the pitch when we scored, mainly from the Family stand lower, aren’t fans who generally go to games as they wouldn’t be sat there.

Some of our 'fans' need to take a leaf out of Freddie Flintoff's (Brett Lee) and Jordan Henderson's (Mason Mounts) & Lothar Matthaus's (Chris Waddle) book.

Jones' comments after the first leg were classic mind games, last night I don't think you could argue (with his view). Down the years Luton haven't been my favourite team (long story going back a long way) but I couldn't have complained at all had they won last night. I thought their fans got behind their team and as we were anxious they sang loudly. I have gained respect for them and I wish them, and Jones, the best for next season. Due to the way tickets were released I found myself in the FM Lower (I won't bore you with why I couldn't get my normal seat). Lots of families and people who don't go often in there along with some folk who I doubt had a ticket at all (stood in isles). I have to say all were fine though and good humoured, around me at least. |
