Only thing I’d change would be Diarra on the bench for Mahoney? Although presumably a few at the club feel Mahoney deserves a chance to impress.

That line up to me looks much more positive. Attacking threat in the wide areas but plenty of balance. I know MF didn’t have a fit Knockaert available to pick from the start but if this team performs today then you look back at the last few teams Fozza picked and wonder what on earth he was doing.

I wouldn’t count on Lowton being injured. Hopefully just a case of Narcis being able to see that he’s been woeful since he got here.

I’m a bit baffled as to why Rhodes doesn’t start. With Knockeart and Hungbo hopefully putting the ball in the box, you’d think a clinical goalscorer would be a useful addition.

Big game for Ruffels up against Nyambe and Sinani down their right side. Would imagine it will be Rudoni down that side giving him a hand with Knockaert in the number 10 role.

That's pretty much the team I'd go with. I'm not a big fan of Ruffels but it atleased gives us some balance on the left side of defence being left footed. Waghorn will hopefully hold the ball up to play in Hungbo, Rudoni & Knockaert.
Glad to see Camara back in the team. It's a mystery to me as to why he was dropped in the first place?

Harsh on Ben Jackson. And Ruffels, as uninspiring as he's been (qpr A excepted) would be better than Lowton who until last week I don't believe had ever played LB in his life. Anyway, hugely positive about today. I think the chains are off and we could see the performance of the season. Didn't Lowton play left back for Burnley against us in the FA Cup and get ripped apart by Dwanne Holmes? He did and was awful. |

Looks a decent team except for Ruffels, massively weakens the left hand side in defence and attack. Would perhaps have Jordan instead of Waghorn but I’m sure welll see him at some stage. Both players probably benefit from not playing the full 90.

It will be interesting to see the reaction on here If High and Lowton start and no Camara given it was all the clueless Buzz’ fault when this happened before and showed he didn’t have a clue. Before I get accused of being a fan of Buzz I thought he had to go but team selection will be interesting this week to get another coaches perspective You could also see it another way i.e. if Chico does select different players or puts them in a different position then does it confirm that Fotheringham was indeed a fucking idiot?
