Must say my first thoughts are one of being underwhelmed.
I think Darren Moore is a kind man and he has had relative success in his career so far but is he worth potting Neil Warnock early for?

If the plan was run of the mill, surely you keep warnock until pre-season next year and give the new guy a chance.... We are relegation certainties with moore in charge, because the goodwill of the fans will be fucking zero.

FFS, cos Alan Nixon tweets a rumour (and when was he last right about us?) it's now a fait accompli?
C'mon folks...

Not yet confirmed and already written off. He's done well at each club he's been at and is generally well liked by their fans. I'm definitely not against this appointment, if true. I imagine the sentiment is that if this appointment was made at the start of Summer, then it would be fine and make sense. However, it hasn't and we're seemingly rushing Warnock out to replace him with the vanilla ice cream of the Management world. He may well be successful, but the timing and the calibre of the appointment do not make sense.

But what about it says Premier League in three seasons? It’s a Hoyle pre-Wagner 12 month appointment. Someone to try and keep our heads above water.

Waiting for the right man to become available.......Moore was SACKED on June 19th, can't be him. Maybe Moore wasn't available, maybe he wanted a break after being sacked and decided he's ready now, and his agent has just started touting him over the last few weeks.

The club are playing this one close to their chest. They won’t be wanting any boobs before the big reveal... It would be embarrassing if it all went tits up at this stage and the board won’t be wanting to give bigger clubs any cleavage to potentially poach the new boss... DATM is keeping me very well abreast of things though ! 😉 Crikey, only nipped out for a minute and I nearly missed a punfest. would've made a right tit of myself. Thankfully, no need to tweak my reply.... Anyway, Alphonse Areola as player manager it is.

Just boring, isn't it. 47.9 win % at West Brom (48 games) 44.9 win % at Doncaster (78 games) 51.2 win % at Wednesday (255 games) Well liked by players and fans alike. What a miserable set of fans we have!

It cant be Moore, Im not having it, you dont rush warnock out of the door to appoint him, hes literally a run of the mill, everyday available manager. Whats sort of recruitmemt process ends with Darren "fucking" Moore. ... unless, (as I said in an earlier post) they panicked after 4 games, so approaches were made for a replacement, and/or they can't work with Warnock.

Puzzling appointment especially given he’s been out of work since June which contradicts what was said by Cartwright and Nagle.

Prem withint 3 years? it took Moore to get the highest paid league 1 team out of league 1 in sheff wed. Proven track record, where has this proven track record? league 1 at a push. I am sorry but if its Moore Edwards/Nagle/Cartwright take your fucking heads for a shake. Why not just say it on Monday , this is not a big appointment that fans should be excited about, he got sheff wed out of league 1 playing long ball football and barely got up in the end. I am sorry but Nagle as a owner / Edwards as a ceo need to look at the impression they are giving off here. I wouldn't have darren Moore everrrrr at the club. Prem in 3 years behave yourselves guys, with appoints like this we are going nowhere and nowhere fast. I just hope its a red herring . But to replace warnock , the best there is, the best there was , the best there ever will be at champ level with Darren Moore is a punch in the fact to NW it really is.

Just can’t please town fans, be absolute bedlam if we appointed an unknown like Buzz. We are getting in an experienced manager who has a good record and managed at big clubs and everyone is writing him off before a game under him! Just get behind him!

Our second black manager, one of very few clubs to have appointed more than one black manager in their history.
Moore was racially abused during his time at Wednesday by his own fans, I just hope our fans do nothing of the sort.

Surely not.... that's a fucking stinker if true.... Anyone got any tennis balls? Not sure about tennis balls but this could cause a racket or two... 🏸 🏸 Or if he serves his purpose and is an ace appointment and gets our deuces flowing it’ll be to our advantage and we could grow to Love him ! 😊

I met Darren Moore, seemed a fantastic guy. BUT would Moore get this squad to finish higher up the table this season than Warnock? 100 per cent not. He would be more of a yes man though and deal with the players he’s given rather than saying what players he wants. Didn’t someone say our new manger was abroad or have i dreamt that? I'm not an expert on Moore, but surely if he was a yes man he'd still be in a job at Sheff Weds? He obviously has an agent and all about his salary i believe

I see a few posters quoting JE in the press conference. *If it is DM he may have only recently become available due to clauses in a previous contract. So the information coming out of the press conference wasn’t wholly misleading.

Waiting for the right man to become available.......Moore was SACKED on June 19th, can't be him. We appointed Warnock 2 days before he was sacked, maybe just unfortunate timing for us if he was the guy we wanted all along. Moore seems like a nice bloke and he plays direct football which suits this squad. However, if we wanted a nice bloke who plays direct football I can’t help thinking we’ve got a far more qualified fella taking the game tonight.

I was calling him Lee Clark2 over a year ago to Wendy fans, he got so lucky in the end to get them promoted when they should have cantered to the title.......Kamikaze Posh defending & a bent ref saved him but his sacking was inevitable after bottling the run in.
