youre probably not far off. but with modern pampered footballers this approach just wont wash. you'll probably find 50% cant get in their cars quick enough when he offers it If he’d not managed since his first spell with us I’d agree… but he’s had successful spells at Sheffield United, QPR, Cardiff, Rotherham etc since. I think he’s smart enough to have adapted over the years. yes indeed, but i'm sure he'll be putting a squib up some players rectums...metaphorically speaking of course.. |

This really is the best we could have hoped for. If anyone can save us it's him. The players will hate him but the buzz from the crowd on Saturday will be enough, this appointment will lift supporters' spirits & help re-connect us to the club.
I still can't think helping if only this money wasted this season had been given to CC at the start, I'm damned sure we wouldn't be at this end of the table.
However, that's been done to death, c'mon Town, we can get out of this now. The football can't be any less attractive than what we have witnessed but Neil will put square pegs in square holes.

This is clearly CEO appointment. Not a Bromby appointment. Nice to play attractive football. Nice to give everybody a chance. Nice to give kids a chance. This appointment is all about staying up and increasing the chances of a sale at a reasonable price to investors that have a reasonable amount of money to invest. I am sure a club in L1 is worth significantly less than a team in the Championship only one step away from the PL.

If Warnock can't get us going and keep us up, then it's fair to say nobody can. I do think we already have some Warnock-style players in the ranks, and that's a starting point. And he's shown he can get the best out of flair players in more recent years.
We aren't going to be pretty. We're not going to be a side you'd pay money to see get it down and pass our way to safety. But we're going to be utterly horrible to play against. We've been far too nice for far too long. About time we got a nasty streak.

Never a dull moment following this club....well not many anyway.
Have to say I think its a good short term appointment.
I honestly think our biggest issue at the moment is in the players heads. They've lost their belief and confidence in themselves .
Started off that way this season as a hangover from Wembley and through managerial changes and injury issues and lousy results its never really resolved itself.
If anyone can come in and galvanise a squad and sort them out mentality then its probably Warnock.

Assume Rocket Ronnie will be at Stoke? Never understood that nickname, he was never very rocket like. Because the song started life as “Rockin’ Ron” as he was always in Johnny’s. Somebody at the club mis -heard it and put on the score board as Rocket Ron and that stuck. |

Looking at his stint at Rotherham in 2016.
Took over 2nd week in February with 16 games to go and three points adrift.
W6, D6, L4 finished nine points clear.
That would do.
