Defensive injuries aside, we've actually now got a squad that's probably best suited to some kind of 4-4-2 since Hungbo, Waghorn and Knockeart came in last month. I'd love to see Colin go retro style and start with Waghorn off Rhodes up front flanked by Hungbo/Knockeart with Hoggy and one of Rudoni/Kasumu/Camara in CMF. If Pearson can't go at CB then we need to have a look at Lowton in the middle, because his days as a footballing fullback are well and truly over. Obviously that would leave a hole at RB, but I think High or Kasumu both have the defensive chops to cover that for the rest of the season. Given we've got 2 decent wingers it would be the obvious formation to play with Rhodes and Waghorn, not sure why Chico didn't use it at either Wigan or Stoke?

Something like… “there’s the goal, it’s that rectangular thing that’s got loads of stringy stuff wound around it. The objective is to get this little round leather thing inside that fucking rectangle” “also, don’t forget you’re also supposed to make sure the other bastards don’t do the same in our rectangular thing” Showing your age mentioning a little round 'leather' thing. Good job I didn't mention a pig's bladder then... ;-)

I may be wrong but I think there was 15 mins or so at Hull when they were both on the pitch (Waghorn/Rhodes), and it seemed to make sense to me

I truly believe its too little too late for us and listening to warnock yesterday I think he thinks the same in all honesty. However if we beat Birmingham 2moro the whole optimism will shift towards safety guaranteed.

I think it'll be about 46 points for 21st this season. 18 points from 15 games is very tough with the opposition we have, but doable. Whatever happens we'll need a run of wins in there for sure

I’ve gone from an attitude of “I’m going tomorrow out of a sense of duty” to “ I can’t wait for the game”
After such a terrible depressing season we could be at the start of one of the great Town stories of the future.
Town 4 Birmingham City 0
Rhodes 3 Waghorn
Attendance: Full.

If I don't put my glasses on I don't know which of Rhodes/Ward/Waghorn is playing. Whatever you think of them as signings/ players you've got to admit that it is an absolutely thankless task playing in this team. Spot on and interesting to hear Warnock say he felt sorry for them, totally starved of service all season. We've got Knockaert now, Koroma and Jones who are all capable of creating given half a chance. I expect to see Simpson too, he looked half decent and a totally different option in his brief outings so far. Waghorn has looked well past it but lets see what he can do in a team that is hopefully capable of mustering the odd attack. They need to be like a bull at a gate right from kick off tomorrow, get the crowd on side and who knows; 3 points, a decent performance and Warnock in the building ... could change everything!

Bacuna masterclass tomorrow I reckon interesting alternative reality if we'd have kept him. Even at his usual 1 in 5 good games he'd have been an asset to us this season. Definitely would've been one of Buzz's flavours of the month that then got dropped, and I could see Warnock getting a tune out of him.

FFS Come on Town. This really is the last throw of the dice. We just need a spark to start it off, Paul Dalton into an empty net from half way.
Anything to get the fans back onboard, it’s been a painful season but i honestly think the next few weeks could be some of the most enjoyable ever if we fought our way out of this.

Feeling like we go 3 at back tomorrow, either 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2 3-4-3 A keeper Reg Hogg Lees Lowton Kasumu Camara Headley(would be jackson if fit) Hungbo Rhodes Knockaert
3-4-1-2 A keeper Reg Hogg Lees Lowton(may ask hungbo if can do a job) Kasumu Camara Headley Knockaert Rhodes Simpson(as wildcard)
I say a keeper as no clue what state the tin man is in.Maybe chuck him some more ibuprofen this week.

Really looking forward to tomorrow after my pep talk from Uncle Neil Let's do as he's asked. Let's get behind them for 15 games, no matter what happens on the field. He's asked for us to help and be the 12th man. Let's do it.

Not generally but specifically what did he actually say that he believes he has taken on a job, we reasonable pay I guess only to say that he believes , with 15 games left, that it’s too late.

Sorry to be pedantic but I cannot believe NW would take on a job, take the money even though he thought it was too late. I believe he is too honest to do that. I have listened to his press conference and all I am asking where does he specifically allude to this.

He definitely did his best to lower expectations in terms of survival but there's not a chance in hell he believes that. He's here to win. Whether he can save us or not remains to be seen but he isn't here for a 3 month jolly.

So basically he has intimated "it may be too late", has "lowered expectations" and we have allowed him to start when in his words "he hasn't signed a contract yet".

Let’s face it. Without Warnock coming in this week, about 10,000 would have turned up tomorrow with little hope or expectation and a shit atmosphere.
Now I reckon there will be a good turnout, raised expectations and a great atmosphere. It’s given us a little hope and excitement for a few hours at least (even if we ultimately concede after 10 seconds and get hammered😂!).
Hopefully though this is the start of the great escape sequel. 2-0 Town!
