Favourite player of all time. Embodied everything that a town player should be. Could desperately do with a modern version of him now. Second only to Schindler for me.

This is Terry Fisher these days.
I really have no idea what look he’s going for there. Does he still watch Town? Anyone know if he ever goes even? Not the worst Chairman we’ve ever had thinking back. Mid-life crisis.

In my life time I have known several great full backs, if you are from the same generation try picking your left and right backs from this list. Ray Wilson Bob McNab Chris Cattlin Derek Parkin MalcolmBrown Simon Charlton Tom Cowan Chris Löwe Aren't they all left backs except Mally ? That makes one choice easy. Jamie Vincent should be on that list, he was as good as any LB I've seen play for Town (Chilly excepted)

Definitely wasn’t a Right Back. Derek Parkin played every single one of his 70 appearances for Town at right-back

Probably an easy argument to settle.
What number shirt did he wear?
2 or 3?
Oh for the days without squad numbers…

Probably an easy argument to settle. What number shirt did he wear? 2 or 3? Oh for the days without squad numbers… It's already settled. Every game he played for Town was at right-back. He wore No.2, he signed for Wolves as a right-back and was right-footed. It was only after being played at left-back by Bill McGarry that Parkin was converted into a left-back in the late 1960s, early 1970s. However, that's irrelevant. Parkin was a right-back during his time at Leeds Road.

Interesting - town had mcnab who won the title with Arsenal, wilson who won the world cup and Denis law within a short period of time. A bit more ambition and who knows what might have happened.

Bob McNab can be scathing about Town and in particular how they dealt with injuries - had he not moved to Arsenal and got more professional care, he doesn’t know how long his career would’ve been (this from a very long conversation in September - he can’t half talk and still fit as a fiddle at nearly 80).

Wand of a left foot, and player of the year too, which many forget.
