I don't think there is a lack of desire. There were players putting in plenty of effort. The problem was there was no cohesion. Against Birmingham we started with Kasumu, Camara, Rudoni, Hungbo and Headley. They clicked. They passed to each other and supported when going forward or dropping back. Today no Camara or Kasumu (he may have been the one who was ill), Headley went off early and we had no connected midfield. Hungbo was pretty much on his own when he broke and once Lowton went left sided we lost the pace on that side. IMHO Camara would always start before High. The whole setup looked amazingly defensive but all it did was allow Coventry to find holes to attack through as we had no cohesion. Not sure if it was the Burnley result that made Warnock try and block them out but it was a really poor team selection. I think he has run out of time now. If Headley is out for a while we will struggle down the left. Jackson seems to be out of the first team picture as well. There was very little time to get this right and we may have lost whatever small opportunity we had. Agree with most of that other than it wasnt really a defensive line up, i think he really wanted Lowton and Headley to join the attack and play as high wingbacks. That was kind of scuppered when Headley went off and Diara was asked to play the same role. I felt we left massive gaps because we tried to play expansively but we just can’t fashion any effective patterns of play. You get the feeling that there isn’t time to drill any kind of cohesive attacking plan and it’s not really NW’s forte anyway, he favours letting players express themselves which is fine if you can do the basics and players know their roles but ours don’t unfortunately. If that was the plan it was probably scuppered when he expected Lowton to carry out that role.

I’d still rather listen to Warnock talk waffle than that Scottish fraud.

Me too!!
He’s got it right though, they need to play for pride now. Cannot put another performance in like that, win or lose, if they just give 100% until end season and have some pride in that badge, that’s all we can hope for.

Thought his press conference was quite depressing. As he says it’s all about pride now. He certainly seems of the opinion that we are pretty much down and out. He has presided over two 4 0 defeats which Fotheringham never did.

Matches where we looked just as poorly prepared and technically inadequate. The narrow losses masked the true ineptitude of the performances.

Resign yourself to needing a miracle but keep going.....2 or 3 back to back results are unlikely but you never know.

Im surprised at rocket Ron’s body language . To say that all of our players (perhaps bar Hogg and Pearson) are soft as shit is putting it lightly.
Ron was brutal in his day, and whist you’d never get away now with even half if what he did back then, he always showed passion and made sure the opposition knew he was there..
Hes currently watching over the softest and weakest set of players I’ve seen in years . I know football has moved on In the last 20 years but for fuxk sake, you still have to get stuck in
He needs to get a fire up all their arses

Probably knows we’ve had it. The squad just aren’t capable so why tear strips off them for it?
I’m glad Warnock is back…but not as glad as Hoyle is to have him back.
His appointment has detracted the masses from the shambles we are for a couple of weeks. I just wonder at what point Warnock will start protecting his own reputation by pointing out the car crash the club is and the appalling state the squad is in?

At the end of the season, when we are relegated, we need to let the owner, the directors and the players, in no uncertain terms what we think of them.

In his radio leeds interview he bigged up the performance massively, he has already said it is what it is, he must be feeling embarrassed after that performance, he will be praying for a win tomorrow, it will be interesting to hear his comments if it's a defeat.
