Dire stuff tonight, summed up by Rudoni having a simple opportunity to put Diarra in the clear with his right - turning back in hesitation and totally killing things - then deciding to turn back towards goal and passing it straight into touch with his right. Jackson running the ball out of play with no Bristol players round him was another low. We're an unbelievably poor team, not only devoid of quality but unable to do even the basics.

Diarra was so bloody frustrating this evening. Did some good things and showed his potential, but did some really crap things and lost possession or slipped over a number of times. It should be remembered though that he was lined up to go out on loan to a league 1 club for this season. It was pretty much done and then he got injured, so that scuppered those plans. He’s no where near ready to be starting championship matches and playing the full 90 minutes. The fact that he is says a lot about how shit the club has been run recently and how utterly crap our recruitment has been. Considering he’s still only 19 and actually no where near ready to be starting championship match, he’s actually not doing too bad. He is frustrating, but Diarra is one of the few players I think might do something positive in the opposition's half. Alot of the time what he tries doesn't come off, but I always think there is a chance. I don't get that feeling with any of the other players except Hungbo. IMO we need to feed these players as much as possible. They will fail more often than not, but they are also more likely to create than anyone else.

What game was he watching? And we can give the top teams a game now? Huddersfield manager Neil Warnock told BBC Radio Leeds: "I thought the lads did really well. It's disappointing not to get the three points. We started off apprehensive and I think that's only natural after such a disappointing result [losing 4-0 to Coventry on Saturday]. " The first half an hour we were doing it too quickly but once we calmed down and got them in at half-time we said to them 'I think we can win it' and the crowd were getting behind us as well. "I can't fault it and I thought there were some good performances tonight. "If we don't make elementary mistakes we haven't got a bad side, it's just when we make mistakes like we did on Saturday we look like an amateur team, so we've got to get out of that and I think we can give these top teams a game now. We've got to make our own luck now." We did nothing quickly in the first half. What the fuck is he talking about there?

Warnock. Played 4, 4 points. Goals for 2, goals against 8. Not scored for last 3 games. All 3 atrocious performances. Bizarre team selections as well. Where is AK? Where is Rhodes? Marks so far for Neil.....2 out of 10. AK had more important issues to deal with than Hudds Town, which is fair enough. Rhodes however wasn’t picked because Lowton was shit on Saturday according to Warnock in the post match interview 🤷♂️ Hes very quickly annoying me with his inane ramblings and laughing and joking his way through everything, whilst making stupid decisions with his XIs and subs. It was more important to win tonight than to not lose…but did we change ANYTHING to try and positively force that? No. He doesn't give a shite, is what I took from that interview post match. Just a bit of a laugh.

People talk about his record and say he knows more than the fans etc. But fuck me, he talks more bollocks than Fotheringham. Can you imagine if Jockaday had presided over those last three encounters? And then come out and claimed 'the fans are with us' after our lowest crowd in 15 years had just sat there in virtual silence watching that steaming pile of shite?

I don’t think we’ve anything to lose now by playing as attacking a side as we can muster. Chances are we’re ripe to ship a goal, so at least have the players who might be able to fashion 1 more goal than the opposition. When we seemed to realise time was running out, the players had some urgency and it nearly brought some reward.
0-0 draws aren’t going to do much to save us unless a few of the other teams implode, so just be bloody bold. I think I’d have a lot more respect for the team and management if they failed with honour, as opposed to the insipid performances we’ve just seen.
I don’t get why the players aren’t reacting either. Hopefully the fact they walked out to huge gaps in the stands (compared to Sat & the Brum game) must make them realise they’re part of the reason for those gaps. Get the crowd geed up FFS, it’s a great place when the crowd are with you, as they experienced from the Brum game.
With regards to NW, he looks to be a shadow of his former self, maybe this stint will confirm that he should have stayed retired, because I don’t see the NW of old, or even 50% of that bloke. 50% would actually be ok for me, as he’s getting on a bit now, but I’m not even sure if there’s 25% of the old NW there.
All that said, we’re still only 6 points from safety. If we somehow cobble a freak result on Sat and a couple of teams directly above us lose, the ground should be a bit fuller next We’d.
Tough to watch for 80 mins tonight, the players shouldn’t need any more incentive now, it’s shit or bust time these last 11 games.
UTT!!!

Vaclik 8 - showed his quality.
Pearson - 7 Lees - 7 Helik - 7 much better.
Jackson - rusty. Made errors, took better corners. 6 Ruffels - okay defensively. Cannot cross or pass -5
Hogg - 6 Rudhoni - 7 as usual lots of endeavour should have scored Hungbo - 4 didn’t look interested. Diarra - 4 too many mistakes. Ward - 1 did nothing
Waghorn - worked very hard 6 Koroma - 6 should have scored. Ball boys/girls - 0 they need a rocket.
So warnock told them to slow down. I think he meant on the ball as opposed to not showing any urgency.
The football was dire. The ultimate hoof ball.

Bilokapic has had nothing to do with results. Vaclik hadn't performed in his previous appearances. Tonight though, looked a yard sharper and won us a point. I really don’t understand why everyone keeps defending the fact he ended up in our goal. He’s 19 years old, well he was, he played like a 19 year old. He played very well for a 19 year old, but that’s irrelevant. As a Championship keeper, right now, he’s terrible and played terrible and it cost us points. Not his fault just the latest joke decision. I thought Bromby was the problem then we bomb out Sorba and leave ourselves without a goalie. Which game has he lost us points? He earned us 3 V Birmingham. Burnley and Coventry, absolutely none of that was down to him. Bilo hasn't had a bad game.

Generous ratings there duncfost01. Minus 5 is about right for Ruffels - utterly shite footballer. For all the garbage I've been fed this season (on and off the pitch) last night I was finally starting to get angry. And I still am. Disappointed for Camara and Kasumu too, not getting any minutes. Both deserve better. Ward shouldn't be playing at all. Vaclik - 7 Pearson - 5 Lees - 5 Helik - 6 Jackson - 3 Ruffels - 3 Hogg - 4 Rudoni - 5 Hungbo - 4 Diarra - 3 Ward - 0 Waghorn - 3 Koroma - 4

Sadly we are a poor team devoid of confidence on the back of little investment, poor recruitment and with an owner seemingly desperate to sell - one big mess im afraid.

I disagree shawsie and both have been mismanaged to a certain extent. Camara has shown he's good enough to build a side around. Kasumu has superb stamina and work ethic, even out of position at full back he was considerably better than anything else we've got at full back.

Kasumu's second touch is too often a tackle and never been entirely convinced by Camara albeit i would concede he does have some talent. At 20 later this month hopefully he will blossom as you suggest.

We gave the ball back to Bristol City quite quickly. 😄 The highlight of the first half hour was Wardy taking some paracetamols on the touchline. We were having a laugh about Wardy for the first 40 minutes. The lad is made of glass, one of the softest lads to play for us recently. You just know, as soon as he takes the weight of any player at any point in the game, he just wants to come off. He must have looked at the bench 20 times in 20 minutes after the keeper clattered him. I know he has suffered with injuries but he would be better playing a non contact sport.

Certainly agree Camara is still young and raw but it's not that long ago he was putting in MotM performances for us.

I don't mind too much as long as we compete. Yes, we've got a very poor side, in fact one of the worst sets of players that it has been my privilege to follow. But as long as they give it their all, close the opposition down, win personal battles then this is some recompense for an absolutely atrocious season. The players can then take some confidence into next season.
As far as the game was concerned, the only outfield player who was busting a gut and giving his all in the first half was Hogg... he was absolutely ferocious. However, that first half performance I never want to witness again... I have no words to describe how abysmal it was. Second half was better, but we still had no style to our play. A few mentions - Diarra... brilliant, shite, brilliant, shite. It almost paid off for him, but he almost cost us a couple of goals. I'm sure he will play a part for the rest of this season and next. Vaculik... very good and a great confidence builder for the defence in front of him. Koroma - Oh Josh! If you could only play a little bit of football with your left foot. I blame the coaches in his formative years in not making him a more balanced footballer. Waghorn I thought did well when he came on... he's getting rid of that rustiness.
Similar line up on Saturday please Mr Warnock.
