I've avoided all the speculation threads (they never go well) until an official announcement was made. I'm glad it is looking like a clean break, I think all parties needed it really. A new chapter in the history of the club, opefully some good times ahead but we don't know any details yet so we will have to wait and see just what the level of investment is going to be and wait until the consortium gives a statement of intent. Obviously JJ Moores is worth a few quid (OK dollars) gb.wallmine.com/people/84120/john-j-mooresbut that doesn't mean we will automatically be challenging for titles in a couple of seasons. Let's all just calm down and show some patience. We may still go down but at least there looks like there might be some investment to get us back up again and hopefully kick on from there. Let's hope they take on staff that really know how football works in this country. Think someone posted the other day that QPRs owners are something like the 4th wealthiest in English football! So whoever these people are and however much wealth they have, there are certainly no guarantees it automatically means we will be buying our way to anything. |

Whilst I liked the idea of Dutch guy and the methods Alkmaar use, on paper the Americans look like they can inject some much needed investment that the club desperately needs to move forwards. Well done and fair play Dean Sounds a bit like entitlement does that  |

I hope some folk are reflecting on the awful abuse that has been handed out now they're hearing that DH is taking a massive financial hit.
My guiding light has always been that it is best to get the full picture before you spout off and hurl abuse at others.

It makes sense why the front runners in the Man Utd takeover requested an extension last night - we’re the hottest property in world football and whilst we were still up for grabs, Man Utd was their second choice. Now we’re sold it seems bids have gone in.

Professional football club ownership is a mystery, apparently even to those who supposedly know about it? I cant even work out how its allowed given so many clubs are so deep in the shit but are just carrying on regardless, so I have had no input into this issue. I hope we have some success in the future and its affordable for the clubs long term, thats all. |
