It's hard to ignore my inner cynicism regarding this fixture. Sheff United already up and no reason to give a shit either way, they're Warnock's club and Warnock's people, it's got a 0-0 or 0-1 festival of shithousery written all over it and I've not even thought about the possibility of losing this one. I could be wrong and we might get dicked 4-0, but if I was a Reading fan I'd be massively uncomfortable about the Warnock factor in this fixture.

The tactics from Neil and Ronnie were exceptional. possession in the first half with some strange man marking game plan. Second half, come out all guns blazing and play a high risk strategy on the front foot. It was a footballing version of rope-a-dope. Exactly what I was going to post last night. We were the Ali to their Foreman.

It's been quite rare for Yorkshire to have two teams in the Premier League in recent seasons Surely you’re not trying to put some sort of subtle curse on Leeds? What if Boro go up via the PO’s. Are they officially a Yorkshire club?? I only know three smoggies, but all three of them say they're Yorkshire, none of this Teesider bollocks.

The unExamined seem to think we may switch to a back three with either REG or Kasumu at R/WB. They say that is how NW has lined us up previously against teams that play three at the back.

I hope everyone is enjoying their hangovers today. What a night. A few wetting their blankets at half time...made me chuckle as this has been Warnocks style for a few games..but yes, we're a happy bunch now, everyone calm, nobody arguing with others about stuff...peace in our time , it's marvellous.
Warnock and Ronnie are like Bill and Joe from Love Actually, a perfect pair... ...but immortalised now into Town folklore.

Watching on the red button was a pain,as you cannot see the players clearly.Consequently you miss some of the good moves by certain players. I think it was disrespectful of Sky to put this on the red button and insultingly put Women,s Scottish football on the main football channel. However,it did not spoil my enjoyment of the game, and I was relaxed all through the 95 minutes.UTT.

Never seen Love Actually, but I get the inferrence, completely agree. Rocket and Colin go together like fish and chips, Cannon and Ball, mortar and pestle, Ren and Stimpy, starting to struggle for partnerships now

What a great night that was!
So happy we got a goal, don't think I could have coped if it had been nil nil til the end. Having said that we managed it well and was up the other end right up til final whistle.
Great atmosphere. Felt like a promotion game after the dire straits we were in.
Brilliant!
Couldn’t sleep when got home - had to have some nice single malts to set me on my way. 😀

The intelligence when 5 mins added time went up was superb. We did the same at Watford.
The ball was hardly in play. Totally killed the game. No idea why teams don’t do it more. Instead throwing points away like we did at hull this season. Same players just coached better

Love the dressing room scenes at the end there. Be better if it didn't sound like Norman Collier was talking and they still missed someone saying "fucking hell" 😁

Special scenes, special night... Brilliant. Got summat in my eye here. When he is walking through his guard of honour am sure I heard Warnock say “I should f****g think so too!” 😂😂😂

What's struck me listening to post match stuff with Neil is how much mental effort this has taken.
In his first spell he seemed a different person now....he's older and I think we have to massively appreciate the toll these 2 months will have taken. Yes he's I'm sure been handsomely rewarded but I don't see him doing it for that.
He looks genuinely shattered by the experience and should look forward to his retirement with so much pride.
I'm a 51 old bloke who's seen a lot of football. I'm as cynical as the worst of us about personalities in football and their loyalties. I liked Carlos and was disappointed when he left. I thought Lee Clark did everything he could and was sorry he couldn't get us over the line.
But I just wanted to say....thank you Neil. Buxton, wagner, warnock. Lucky to have them at our club in different ways.

Almost over the hangover
I cant believe fans of other clubs go through the ups and downs that we do
Apparently thats 14 seasons in a row where we've not been fighting for promotion or against relegation
This was the ultimate. The league table in December did lie, being bottom didn't really reflect just how totally shite we were in every department
What an amazing achievement by Colin, Rocket Ron and all the lads

Nice one. But why do we really need to bleep out his words. Because it is for family consumption. I’ve taken my kids to matches since they were 2. Swearing is just a part of life. All you have to do is explain it’s not big of clever but that adults do it. Ffs. We live in a pandered world.

Probably sounds weird. But I enjoyed the 1st half as well. Hoggy man marking Berg - brilliant discipline.

Agree he’s a good player.

If he was 'that good', he wouldn't have been at Sheffield United for the last two seasons.

Great strike by Wardy, bet he wished he'd done it at Wembley in the play off final v Blades back in 2012, or maybe not, better late than never Dan & same outcome.........Championship football.
