Rudoni, I know sometimes attention gets focused on his mistakes, but his work rate is fanatstic. Constantly wants the ball, and he seems to be involved in everything - all over the pitch, whether thats defending in the corner, or looking to attack the box. He's going to be immense next season.

Koroma if it were player-of-the-last-third-of-the-season, but there's no such thing - so Scott High. Sorry, I mean Helik.

Helik all day long for me.
Can’t have players with a handful of appearances getting it. No matter how big an impact they’ve had

Re young players probably Diara, he's featured more, still a bit raw but has had his moments, is direct and puts opposition on the back foot.

Rudoni for me. For a young lad to move away from home, step up a division and play so many games in a struggling team, the fact he’s never hid, always wants the ball even when not playing well and never gives up shows he has some serious cahunas.

Helik all day. The only consistently alright player during our worse spells. Rudoni and Lees the only competitors across the whole season and both had some dreadful spells.
If we're talking about the last few months, it's Koroma. But he was so bad under Schofield, and absent under Fotheringham.

Keep forgetting how young he is - probably a good reason to cut him a bit of slack, eh? - and just reached for the academy graduates. Guess that's a different award, innit!

Thats why i think Rudoni didnt deserve half the pelters he caught this year - Age 21 - First season at Championship level - Played under 4 different managers - Played out of position very often - Played way way more than probably intended due to injuries (Tino and Holmes) 100% Young player of the year for me. Even if the quality wasnt there you couldnt ever fault his effort and willingness for the cause.

Rudoni for me, given his all every game and has been very isolated for much of the season played above his years.
Not too many other options unfortunately this year, and don’t want to start this in a slagging thread but for me personally not fully convinced on Helik, got some nice silky touches in him but as a centre half doesn’t sense danger and stop it well enough. Might be out of touch but CB should base their game around protecting the goal

I've been really frustrated with his set-piece delivery at times, but: - who else is there? - we've been (mostly) shit at set-pieces for as long as I've supported Town - even Mooy was a bit bobbins at that side of his game, and he's my third favourite Town player of all time (behind Boothy and Alan Lee)

Lee Nichols for me. Perhaps not as brilliant as last season, but pretty much consistently really good all season. Loads of great saves and a commanding presence. Come straight back in as soon as he’s fit, displacing Vaclik, who had just hit great form and being in the latest international squads, and then pulls of that save towards the end of the game, then comes and claims the ball from the corner (I think). Really? He was bloody awful early doors. Was it him that was bloody awful or was it our defence and midfield that we’re letting countless crosses, pull backs and through balls into our box and then not tracking runners or marking properly. Whilst his form at the start of the season didn’t hit the heights of last year, there were far worse players infront or him. And he still pulled off a few good save. Helik was far worse in the early part of the season. Anyway it’s been a shit season overall, so anyone winning player of the year is basically the least shittest performer out of a lot of shit performers really

Helik for me, closest to a consistent performer, as well as ruddoni has done its been a season of progression for him, but if that progression carries through to next season he could definitely be the one to watch. I just wish that somehow Neil can be persuaded to stay(unlikely sadly) as with a good manager there is the makings of a decent young squad: Ruddoni Headley Pat Jones Jackson Diarra Harrett A full season under a manager like Warnock could do wonders for those lads

2 players that missed half the season have been better than someone who's played every game and is the top for assists 🤔

Helik for me too. Consistently a 7/10. Solid player, hope we can hold onto him next season and continue to build a solid spine to the starting 11.

My bank holiday opinions🍻
Helik 1st (solid all season, a great signing, and a v good defender at this level) Rudoni 2nd (head has never dropped, always gives his all and will be a major asset in seasons to come hopefully) Lees 3rd (very dependable most of the season, not quite as good as last season but we’d be much worse off without him) Pearson 4th (thank god we got him back, make him captain next season, epitomises Terrier Spirit) Koroma 5th (sign him up, without his renaissance we’d be down already imo)

Josh Bowler. Player of the Season, and Goal of the Season.
Without him/it Fotheringham may not have been sacked and Warnock may not have come back. Town would now be relegated.
