Need to bare in mind what Warnock said when he came in, you need leaders on the pitch.
We need to get the right characters too. We have proven we actually have a good side but it doesn't have the strength of leaders, the balance needs fixing.

Jerry Yates and Callum Lang. Lucas Joao maybe depending on what he earns. Spin the question.. Is there anyone from the promoted teams who may be surplus to requirements? Can see there being a few let go by Sheff U - the likes of Norwood, McBurnie, Enda Stevens...

I was thinking the same during the game. Thought he looked very, very good, in a position we need to strengthen.

"I don't want to talk about Lucas [Joao]. I think we've wasted enough time on people who aren't committed to giving 100% to the club. I got a text message on Thursday after the game and after that it was best to just leave it at that in terms of commitment.

I thought Jeff Hendrick looked good yesterday - obviously he's actually a Newcastle player but ran their midfield well. One year left on his Toon contract - get him on loan?

One of the reasons Reading have found themselves in the shit is paying out for over-the-hill ex-Premier League 'stars'.

Just noticed Wigan have not paid wages again owed from last month. Would their contracted players now be able to cite 'breach of contract' and look to join another club. Or is there more to it than that. They have a few useful players over there worth having in the squad at least. Also how would this situation affect their league position and membership within it assuming this is the third time it has happened now, is their any action that could be taken against them.

Isn't this the FIFTH time this season? I'm sure I read that they got docked points because they'd delayed wages four times during this season? Fit And Proper Owners Test? Pfft

I get the feeling that Wigan defender Stephen Caulker isn't too enamoured with the situation

Always been known as a defender of his team mates and the underdogs. Unless I'm thinking of a different player altogether, I seem to remember him being something to do with MIND and other wellbeing charities so it would be right up his alley sticking up for others.

He is an ambassador for a few charities, a bit of a champion for mental health awareness too. Genuine nice guy, did a bit of PR work for likes lads, a charity I've been involved with previously. Think you're right on this mate.

Nick Powell released by Stoke. I'd take him. Great player on his day.
