Coventry sold out their allocation of 36000 will only get a bigger allocation if Luton fail to sell theirs . We sold our allocation when playing reading of 36000 and then sold another 3500 after reading didn’t sell out. Against forest don’t think we quite sold the 36000 . I’d be suprised if Luton don’t sell out it’s only about 30 miles . We nowhere near sold the allocation second time. If you ever watch it there are big areas of empty seats. Along with the Peterborough play off final, that is a match that I have absolutely no intention of ever watching again. It was bad enough being in the stadium at the time FFS 😂 You're right though, there were tons of unsold seats in our end.

And who’s saying there weren’t plenty of unsold seats . The attendance was just over 80,000 in a 90,000 capacity stadium . So there was just less than 10,000 empty seats ( for the forest game)

He’s still registered so might be worth seeing if a PM wakes his account up? Other than that you’ll have to fight the hordes of big ‘eeds who’ll be trying to do what Forest fans did last yr. Good luck anyway.

Good luck anyway. Barnsley allocation has shrunk by 6000 thanks to EFL taking unsold blocks & given them to the Wendies, BFC strongly opposed the move but good old EFL need the cash so badly don't they...........Massive have just short of 44k now, if they don't sell out EFL will look even bigger twats.

I think he lives in Hudds, seems to know a fair bit about whats going on here when we get brought up on that forum. What is happening with them and Wednesday is almost identical to us and Forest last year. Constant bragging and ridiculing the Barnsley fans from the deluded Owls about tickets etc. I for one will be 'massively' be cheering Barnsley on come Monday.

L1 is on the Monday, Championship is on Sat this season. It's usually that way round when there is European Championship or a World Cup in the summer, unusual, as there isn't either.

Luton had a remarkable rise to the top division in 1974 when only six years earlier they were a fourth division team, this time they aim to go from non-league to Premier League in under ten years although I think Coventry will succeed today, they seem to be following the Town way of stopping the opposition from scoring.......We know it works, penalty shootout finish, could be?

The final I wanted.
Coventry City boss Mark Robins has already billed this year's Championship play-off final as "one for the romantics".
But will it be the Sky Blues or the Hatters who enjoy a fairytale ending at Wembley?
Two sides with more illustrious pasts, Wembley cup final winners respectively within a year of each other - Coventry lifting the FA Cup in 1987 and Luton prevailing in the 1988 League Cup final - both trying to get back to the top flight just five years after being together in League Two.
This season alone began with Coventry bottom of the league, having to postpone four games because of their damaged pitch, while Luton had to bounce back from their manager Nathan Jones walking out on them for a second time, to be taken on by Rob Edwards, who had started the season by being sacked by their fierce local rivals Watford after just 10 league games.
But one of them will head back up the M1 on Saturday having picked the lock on a windfall, estimated by Deloitte, to be worth at least £170m across the next three seasons.

No reason was given a few weeks back when the dates were changed, but with Premier League finishing on Sunday it was always going to be League two (1-30 ko) on the same day as four PL games in the capital.........Prospect of Geordies (at Chelsea), Makems & Boro mixing at same time had the Met wetting themselves a bit?

I believe that’s from this article? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65654937Nothing against either of the clubs, but what was the reason Luton were docked 30 points all those yrs ago? Maybe the romanticism around them would have been different had they played by the rules back then? A bit like poor old Leicester etc. Anyway, I still think Coventry will win, don’t ask me why, just gut feel that if they turn it on like they did against an admittedly poor Town side, I don’t think Luton will cope. Hopefully this is one of the better Championship finals, because far too often these games are played under the fear of what they could lose. Not a game of football, or promotion, but a big bag of smelly PL cash… 😉

Didn't realise until there was a feature on breakfast tv that the big playoff was today. I'm assuming there's some logical reason why the lower league playoffs are happening after the championship one?

I heard some conversation between a luton director and the host on talksport, and the only real reason seems to be that the pitch will be at its optimum state on the Saturday, as opposed to a Monday when it could have had potentially 4 hours worth of football played on it. And apparently with the amount of money riding on the match, that decision was made prior to the season beginning.

I'm assuming there's some logical reason why the lower league playoffs are happening after the championship one? So the pitch has less wear for the showpiece event? Imagine after 3 days the pitch doesn’t hold up as well. I also think it probably has something to do with Prem refs being involved in the game, so they couldn’t have the game on Sunday?

Shame that the amount of money riding on the match last year didn't result in the correct application of VAR for whatever reason.
