And if they don,t comply with the upgrades, will they be allowed to play, Or will that be another thing to be brushed under the carpet? By 31st of January every year, all Championship club submits a costed plan for what they will do on promotion to comply with Premier League regulations (mainly around media & floodlights) along with contingency for ground-sharing agreements if they can't complete by the start of the season. There is no grace period, you have to comply with the regulations immediately by that first promoted season.

The FA have very clearly said after the recent attacks on players this has to stop. Fans around the country have got the memo. Let's see what sanctions follow
When you stand for nothing, you fall for everything

The main difference is Forest are a big club and we arnt a big club. Actually you have got me thinking. The EFL stated earlier this season that any fans invading the pitch at play offs (either in celebration or for retribution) would be banned going forward. Bearing mind the "incident" at Leeds at the weekend, although I appreciate this was the PL, this threat needs to be carried through. Be interesting to see if the EFL keep to there promise when hords of fans invade pitches over the next week or so, its going to happen! Forest are a big club, where do you get that one from. They haven't won anything for over 33 years, they have never had a crowd of over 50,000 and without Clough and Taylor would have never have won the European cup and that was over 43 years a go. They couldn't even fill their stadium under Clough and Taylor were as Town would get crowds of over 50,000 no problem. What actually defines a big club? big crowds, winning trophies because Huddersfield Town were one of the giants of English football but we certainly haven't been since the 50's but we certainly aren't a small Town or a small club and i defiantly wouldn't say Forest are a big club.

Going off tangent here and onto the ground, I don't see how it's apparently only £10m to get the place ready for Premier League football. It cost us £8m or something and thats 6 years ago, in a relatively new stadium, with infinitely better access and space than Kenilworth Road. I think the work at ours involved upgrading the floodlights (same reason chest now have some comedy floodlights outside their ground peering over), enlarging the dugouts, building a bigger TV gantry, putting in permanent TV camara points, building a TV studio and massively upgrading the internet connectivity for all the TV trucks. All of these would look problematic at Kenilworth Road. Where are they even putting the 4 or 5 TV trucks that we used to have at the back of the North Stand! Wasn't it closer to £1m - mainly on the new TV gantry in the Kilner, updates to floodlights, and some refurbishment of media rooms? (and we got a new blue carpet round the pitch) TV OB trucks not needed any more as PL grounds have requirement for private leased line connectivity capable of carrying all the TV to the broadcast hub and Stockley Park for VAR. As a kid it was brilliant to see those TV trucks outside Leeds Rd, knowing that you were on the box that night had a bit of an aura about it. Happy days…

I don't think softboy was saying HE thinks florist are big, just the media smoke-blowing bullshit perception.

All jokes aside, does anyone actually have a normal answer because it’s like dishing out a £70 fine to someone who parked on yellows but would have been reduced to £50 if you gave the parking officer an uppercut. They checked the cameras for the Forest invasion but the guy in charge, Paul, didn't see anything wrong and ignored it.

Very low key nowadays with every game being televised for highlights. I loved our PL days when we were on TV. All the interviews with famous people on the pitch before the game and looking up at the TV studio near the floodlights.
