Surprised to see he has been released. I'm not "in the know" but his skill & ability would be very useful in our midfield. I thought he was quite bit older but he is still only 30.
I imagine his wages would be expensive but would put out a bit of a statement if we can land him.

I was working for Nike here in Aus when he won their ‘The Chance’ competition to get a contract.
Very talented player and a really nice lad by all accounts.

Rated him since I used to watch Mooy in the Aussie national team.
Released at 30 though, I wonder why.

Rated him since I used to watch Mooy in the Aussie national team. Released at 30 though, I wonder why. I am thinking that WBA are in a financial crisis, and probaly cannot afford his wages - that would be the simplest answer. |

I honestly think this would be a great coup for us, Tom is a top player and was probably a little unlucky at WBA. CC said he was unlucky because WBA had too many players and that Tom was a class player. I think Tom wouldn’t suit a CC team as he’s not a dull player, he’s the type that gets you out of your seat.
Unfortunately sometimes he can go missing in a game where the ball is bypassing the midfield, but I wouldn’t let that put us off, we are in desperate need of a creative player like him.
To me, he’d be a great mentor to Diarra, Diarra is very much like him, but Tom has that ability to know the final pass to unlock a defense.
