I don't know a lot about him, but 5 goals & 5 assists for Cambridge Utd doesn't immediately say "good enough for the Championship" to me.

I don't know a lot about him, but 5 goals & 5 assists for Cambridge Utd doesn't immediately say "good enough for the Championship" to me. He’s a midfielder not a lot have high goals Lewis for us scored 8 in 131 games! |

Not sure who you’re referring to, but if we take Rhodes as an example: one had been there, done it and broke the records at this level. The other has done, statistically, very little (213 games across Leagues One and Two, 42 goals, 15 assists). I know, admittedly, very little on paper about Knibbs. So I can only go what is said etc. But the odds of Knibbs fixing our issues are no less greater than Rhodes. [this doesn’t mean I’m a Rhodes convert either, I’m just responding to your point]. We get let with has beens and don't seem to be able to compete on their last season, so it ends up as a payment for nothing. Ward is one of our most highly paid players and we did get one good season out of him, to re sign him seems like madness to me. Rhodes was excellent first time around but in spite of his efforts this time around has been a very expensive mistake. We have been linked strongly with another 33year old that could not help Reading stay up. I doubt very strongly that we can get two years out of him. My perception but paying out on expensive older players has not worked for us. |
