get the stadium bought first kev I really wouldn’t, having thought about this, I dont see it as a good idea. It operates at a loss and needs a huge amount of investment to make it more sustainable after years of neglect and lack of upkeep. It’s gone bust at least twice that I’m aware of. I agree. Dont think its ever made a profit since it's opening, its nearly 30 year old now and needs an alleged £10 million spending on it just to keep it ticking over.

Yup, And when it inevitably goes bust again, Kev can step in and get it at cut price. My understanding is the Council will not sell it as they see it as a community asset but will allow it be a long-term (99 years?) lease.

Boilers, generators and heavy machine is in desperate need.

Would be nice if we could take control of the day to day running of the stadium allowing us to negotiate advertising and such.

It used to make a profit, albeit not a huge one. I think that back in the Ken Davy bogeyman days people used to accuse him of 'stealing' it. Though in reality, any profit earned went straight back into the stadium company to help service it's debt.

He was present at the ATT tonight. Seems a very ambitious fella but I sense the CEO is going to be very much the man on the ground - not sure how enlightening the presser will be tomorrow.
But on the whole, nice chap, very eager to communicate, and clearly wants to do his very best to represent the Club in the right way.

Yeh I gather there wasn’t much in the way of direct answers to to questions posed although everyone seemed to like him. Would imagine the CEO Edwards like you say will be more influential day to day with Kevin be back in America for the most part. Let’s hope the presser gives a few more insights although not sure it will.

You're not one of those whose 'question' in a Q&A is really a long bloody statement, where at the end you line em up for a yes or no answer 🙈😃

As for revenues, was it Jarvis who said town are missing out on all the catering, events and advertising revenues and that stadium ownership would boost our revenues? If town took a 99 year lease though, surely it wouldn't include structural repairs and maintenance..that would be the landlords job

It sounds to me like "same as before" for this season.Maybe the Bookies were right with their bottom 3 predictions, although I can,t see Warnock settling for that.

Exactly how it seems, we have glaring gaps in our squad that don't appear as though they will be addressed. Warnock will keep us up but if the going gets tough he may just jump ship if he doesn't want the hassle. More quality needed. A good signing might calm some nerves.

Probably because books still need balancing. Look at the way Newcastles owners have gone about things up there (and I’m not trying to compare Kevin’s wealth to theirs). They didn’t immediately go out splashing the cash, just good, solid signings. This isn’t and never was a kind of fantasy football project. Just curious as to what books need balancing, as our budget last year was bottom 3 easily bottom 3. Which was confirmed and talked about by both Hoyle/ Bromby. Therefore i am quite concered by these supposed finical constraints , that we are apparnetly under . Until we had to pay compo to two shit managers, wages and bonus to King Colin and Rocket, the panic signings (although Helik was a great panic buy) when it was noticed how shit we were. All adds up, especially if the rumours about Buzz's wages and pay-off were true. I'm sure one of the itk guys on here said we had to be wary of FFP because of that?

I would have thought a lease agreement would have conditions that the lessee would have to keep up the maintenance, so that when returned there’s no loss of value for the owner? Other than agreed wear & tear etc. I’m obviously no expert of course, could all be poppycock…

^^Maybe at some point people will actually hear what Warnock has said, and stop inferring some imaginary conversation he's had where he's demanded a budget that makes it an easy job to mount a top six challenge?!
He feels an attachment to this club, that was solidified even more during those final two games last season. Those games made it harder for him to walk away, and would have also left any manager coming in, in an almost impossible position. He sincerely cares. He wants to oversee a period of stability whilst the ownership get their feet under the table.
Yes, he has targets and ambition (still!), and they seem to be above mid-table - and he's going to work incredibly hard to meet those targets with what will continue to be an underdog club in terms of the available squad.
But those targets are not the main reason he is here. He's basically doing what any of us would do as fans if we had the knowledge and experience that he has!

I'm pretty certain transfer budget would have been discussed though. Nagle wants stability, Warnock wants to deliver but that's near impossible with the current squad. He'd be crazy not to ask about funds for some squad strengthening.. albeit I don't think we're looking at several £m's here either.

There will definitely be ins and outs but I think too many people think Nagle is going to give Warnock a blank cheque which won't be the case. Warnock isn't really that type of manager anyway. It will be a solid transfer window where the right lads are shipped out replaced by lads hand picked by Warnock using the contacts and knowledge he already has.
