I like the idea of selling some Sacremento gear in the shop, it would be novel and people walk round advertising all sorts on their T shirts . It's also a cool capital in sunny California. What's not to like? I went there years ago, and it has an old town by the river with boardwalks and a paddle steamer, then you can get to Lake Tahoe easily from there for skiing, trekking hunting and a shooting and luxury camping. Bet Kian Harratt can't wait for pre season over there.

Would love to have been there myself tonight, but for people in a similar position, and providing there's enough time to have questions put from DATM, what questions would we like put to him? Mine would be (just to make him feel at home): Has he got any (short) stories to tell about "Fargo"? Everybody's favourite film (he was born 5 minutes away, across the river in Moorhead). The movie was something that put the name of the town Fargo in big, bold letters all over the world - obviously it's in a different genre, but would he like the name Huddersfield to be just as well known all over the world, too? I’d like to ask him does he like quality Scotch Whisky and if he does he have a favourite Islay Malt Whisky and if so which one ! 🥃 🥃 (I might even treat him to a bottle - within reason - if he does well by Huddersfield Town) ! 😊 Onto The Footy now... And my question to Kevin is : If we are struggling come January - And there’s every chance we could be in This Championship even with the miracle workers of Sir Neil and Ronnie, then will reasonably substantial funding be available to Neil and Ronnie to make it a little easier to avert relegation rather than have them (and consequently us) go through the brutal stress but ultimate ‘joy in the end’ that we all went through last season !

I thought that was the issue now?

Someone ask him if he’s a billionaire That debate should be settled. Is he Phil Hodgkinson or Roman Abramovic on the sliding scale of football owners.

Can we get the corners filled in on the stadium? Even if it’s just for advertising revenue? Also can we get the electric adverts around the entire pitch connected together so it doesn’t look like we’ve cobbled it together

Back on Topic... Hearing that Nagle wants us to be sustainable is really interesting to me. I applaud the sentiment and think its how clubs be run, but in this day and age most clubs run at a loss. Out of interest I had a quick look at the past seasons that accounts are available for to see what the promoted teams from The Championship filed in terms of Turnover, Wages and Profit/Loss 2021/221st - Fulham - Turnover: £71m - Wages: £79m - Profit/Loss: -£58m 2nd - B'Muff - Turnover: £53m - Wages: £54m - Profit/Loss: -£55m POs - Forest - Turnover: £29m - Wages: £51m - Profit/Loss: -£45m 3rd - Town - Turnover: £30m - Wages: £18m - Profit/Loss: -£3.6m 2020/211st - Norwich - Turnover: £47m - Wages: £54m - Profit/Loss: £15m - NOTE: Norwich sold £44m worth of players in the period 2nd - Watford - Turnover: £57m - Wages: £60m - Profit/Loss: -£21m - NOTE: Watford sold £58m worth of players in the period POs - Brentford - Turnover: £15m - Wages: £36m - Profit/Loss: -£2m - NOTE: Brentford sold £44m worth of players in the period 20th - Town - Turnover: £44m - Wages: £21m - Profit/Loss: £2.8m - NOTE: Town sold £10m worth of players in the period Looking at Town specifically, and using the most recent 2021/22 accounts as a guide, the turnover without parachute payments will be around £12m (we had £21m from TV & League in 2021/22) which means to be sustainable you are looking at a wage bill or around £8m given other running costs will eat into the turnover. Again, using the above as a guide, that will mean a monumental effort for whoever is manager to build a squad good enough in quality to challenge at the top unless we really increase the turnover to allow more to be spent in transfer fees and wages. I'd really like to know how Nagle plans to increase the turnover to an amount that will leave us sustainable and also competitive. I think the wages/profit & loss figures tend to be somewhat distorted for the promoted teams and the gap is not necessarily quite as large as it first appears, as they include promotion bonuses (It was the same when we went up).
