Do you think he could be abit like Elias Kachunga ? He seems abit mroe skilful than Kachunga but think there is parallels in their goal scoring records before coming to Town. When we got Kachunga I think he had played mainly as a striker and most assumed that was where he was going to be used at Town, his goal scoring record looked abit underwhelming but we used him on the right hand side and look at how well he contributed with assists and especially goals in that first season he was here. Really looking forward to watching him play, think there's alot of potential gain for Town with little risk. So you think we'll get one good season out of DB then 🤔 😉 Kachunga never was quite the same player after his injury, we needed him back for that Sheff Wed second playoff leg but he looked off it that night by the standard he'd set and never displayed that bit of extra pace again.

Don't think he will be the striker some are thinking, We seem to be chasing a main striker as well, Dela prefered position is playing on the left but he seems a better goal threat which we are missing. On the left where we have JK, PJ, JH and Ben Jackson*... Without having seen much of him it's difficult to say but I wonder if the club plan to use him either centrally or on the RHS. * Yes, I know I used the initials for all the others... It will be a good problem for Warnock and as i said looks like he still want's a central striker and JH seems to be also on the cards i would say he is looking for more goals from is front 3 whoever gets the nod.

Just catching up with his interview, seems like a decent confident lad. Also has done his research, knowing that we were third in recent seasons although with his accent it sounded like 'turd' which is also accurate for last year!

I think we’ve been turd at some point in all 4 divisions… Here’s hoping this season isn’t one of those… 🤞

Some interesting comments here from someone who has actually seen him play...
Sound very much like RVLP from what is said.

Del Boy on one wing, Aaron "Rodney" Rowe on the other - maybe sign "Uncle" Albert Adomah to play centrally? Then we just need a striker not afraid to pull the Trigger.
Don't listen to me though, I'm only a fool.

Yeah, the more I look at Dela, the less I see him in the lone striker role - which still leaves us worryingly reliant upon Danny Ward unless/until: * we get another striker in, * Colin changes his mind about Rhodes or * Hudlin settles in to playing a more prominent role. I think you may be right about that other striker.

His style very much reminds me of Tino. On first glance, definitely going to add something different but as an option off the bench against a tiring defence.
Be interesting to see him play off the left as Koroma has done fairly well so far this season but not quite delivered. Had a few half chances, if he was clinical he could’ve had a couple but has procrastinated.

As a 42 year old man that certainly dosent follow fashion what was that going on with his shorts and socks? Back in the 80’s 90’s we would have been shouted at/laughed at but what do I know #dinosaur🤣 or whatever the kids say?

Only pic I can find... Cheers, Sorba was like that last week v Leicester 🤔 I don't see what is different? Apart from socks pulled over the knees which an awful lot of players do. Fernando Torres set that trend!

He had the bottom of his shorts tucked in to some type of compression undershorts. Looked a bit strange when he was waiting to come on

One minor bright spot from yesterday. Decent cameo as the central forward, did enough to warrant starting the next match for me. Strong, quick, good touch and vision and can make an opening for himself. Not quite on the same wavelength as his team mates yet, but looked promising.

www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/delano-burgzorg-screamed-huddersfield-goals-27967561 - a pice by Stevbn Chicken Why Delano Burgzorg wants to be screamed at to turn street flair into goals Huddersfield Town
The summer arrival on loan from German top-flight side Mainz acknowledges he needs to change some of his habits to become a more effective goalscorer for the Terriers
Delano Burgzorg can be equal parts frustrating and dazzling, depending on what kind of state the game is in, with his proclivity for holding onto the ball and trying to bust out a trick at every opportunity sometimes a welcome creative touch and sometimes to the side’s detriment.
Huddersfield Town’s summer arrival on loan from Mainz admits that making defenders look foolish is the part of the game that he likes best – perhaps understandably, given he has spent much of his career to date playing on the wing, where that is half a player’s stock in trade.
But Burgzorg is aware that there are different requirements being asked of him in the centre-forward role he has been tasked with playing by manager Darren Moore, who wants to see the Dutchman releasing the ball earlier so he can get into the box and be in the right place to apply a finish.
Burgzorg said: “I like to bring a little bit of flair to Huddersfield Town! This is what I learned on the streets, you know, just football on the street. As a young boy, I was playing all the time on the street and I just took it with me. I want to bring something different to the team and I will do my best to bring it every time, every game, every single minute.
“People keep saying to me, I have to get rid of the ball, I have to go in the box, but I have to get used to that as well. I like to have the ball in midfield and I can turn and I can do my one against one, but now I'm a striker so I have to play like a striker, getting the box and get a tap in so I think if after every game, I'll be trying to do that.”
Burgzorg doesn’t mind if he keeps getting constant reminders of what he is expected to do in his less familiar role, either, saying: "I like it. I don't mind it if a coach screams at me because I like that the coach is on my case and I need it. I am the type of player that needs that.
"He wants me to be more aggressive and in the box more to score goals and to score not always the nicest goals, but the tap-ins. I think I can be more aggressive around the box.”

Shame we just didn't bring in a striker! Wouldn't mind seeing what he could do in his preferred, natural position.
