Made this whilst listening to the radio on the way home tonight...
To the tune of jerk it out - the Ceasars
When you see him, you know it's already done.
You can't stop town cos pats started to run.
You feel him brushing past your bonessss.
Super patty Jones!
Then chanting the tune after the chorus whilst clapping before going again
I think it's quite catchy, happy to be proven wrong😅

Always looked promising, but the injury record (even by our standards) makes for grim reading. Is it all sorted now or going to continue causing him problems?

Sounded if he had a good game against Burton B team according to their website Strangely, Robson Shipley returned and scored, and one for Pat.

Long odds against him becoming a regular feature in the first team squad, think you're wasting your time. Hope i'm wrong though.

I agree, he defo has something, but his hamstrings seem to be made of cheese. It really does need to be looked at , huge shame for the lad as i say he defo has something and not just pace.

At least two, if not more, of his hamstring injuries have occured while with Wales U21s. Will be annoyed if he joins up with them at the next international break. They clearly haven't been looking after him.

Recurring hamstring issues at youth level don't necessarily translate to a career-long problem. Skeletal and muscular systems eventually balance out in your early twenties when you stop growing.

I know Pat Jones has his doubters in the fan base
I wonder what the clubs plans are for Pat this season. Appreciate the injury record. He seems the one of our exciting talents we have.
I thought I saw him on the Austria training videos. Not featured against Sheffield Utd
Duff doesn’t like his wingers but I wonder if he could be used as a forward with his pace and direct running with the ball as I can’t see him as wingback

I can't see him in the role tbh. Not sure what he's like in front of goal, but if he can finish then he might be ok up front alongside a target man?

He had the worst cameo I have ever seen last year away at Preston. Truly terrible. I think he needs a loan and to develop his career in the lower divisions.

Hate to say it but I suspect he will end up getting bombed out. He seems fragile and I can’t see him making it at Town. Really, really hope I’m wrong as genuine pace and crossing ability is rare.

Tricky with the play in front of him, and will always beat a defender for pace if he can get the ball past them; but not great at all in any other facet of the game. A bit like Diarra.

He's an out and out winger and Duff doesn't play them so I'd be surprised if he's in his plans at all.

He had several cameos as a late sub where hes looked really dangerous and caused the opposition all sorts of problems. That bit of pace combined with a trick or two is a nightmare for a full back, especially late on in games. On the rare occasions when hes started though, nowhere near the same impact.
Think potentially there's a hell of a player there if he can get over all his hamstring issues. By the sound of it, Duff might not be the manager he needs at this stage.

Duff's played him as right wing back in a couple of pre-season games, but he'll need to toughen up if he's to do the defensive side. If he does, he'll be a useful option off the bench.

Good sub to bring on ..genuine pace, and will run with the ball. Its what the other wing back, full back, or 3rd centre half will hate.😉

Seems to be a bit like Danny Grant, people rave about him as an absolute world beater mostly because we never see him play. Think he’s always going to be one of those that is always ‘going to be amazing next season’

I think Town will be accessing options on PJ right up to deadline day, if he has a couple of decent substitute appearances along with a good run out against Morecambe he could well be involved under Duff, if not then a number of clubs would like to have Pat Jones in their squad......Key season for him if he stays or goes out on loan.

Who can forget people screaming for Joey Gudjonsson to play under Lee Clark? Clark got sacked and Grayson played him and he lasted eight games before being binned again. The whole Danny Grant stuff was ludicrous.

Pat Jones can ghost a defender no problem, has a nice shot and decent cross.
Danny Grant, wasn’t particularly fast, busy but not affective

Think he’s always going to be one of those that is always ‘going to be amazing next season’ Disagree with this, can’t ever remember Danny Grant even featuring in the first team. PJ has had a few cameos, he was immense when he came on from Norwich, and other games he impressed me. That being said, I never saw this blunder at Preston. However, his hamstrings are cheesestrings, therefore he misses a huge amount of games and then getting match fit/Sharp is difficult too. So would happily see him move on, but do think he has a bit about him.

Cant say i know how duff sets up and not followed pre season, but surely he wont play 46 games 90 minutes without changing formation?
Great plan b to have an explosive winger. I think jones just needs to stay fit, if he can he has talent

If you watched him at Preston away you wouldn't have thought he was a footballer, must say in some games he's looked dangerous though
