So lets say we lose £300,000 and that was equally spread about among 10,000 season ticket holders. Would you be okay paying £30 more next season per ticket. Or do we just expect Nagle to pick up the tab? This is all so AB could get it off his chest before he moved on to "better things" (Thomas not the only one with an ego!) That money could be used to sign a quality player IMO. It's just stupid Would I pay £30 more for a season ticket? Yes! I guess so. But I would also expect the people who employed the troublemaker (or purchased the club) to accept that sometimes examples have to be set and £300k might be the price of that. Equally, it might not. Nagle was asked about AB's comments on the diary last night. He said that AB was candid, and volunteered his own opinion that he would like to clear the bad characters out of the club. It's entirely possible that you might make losses in doing so, but the long term financial benefit (more relatable/likeable playing staff, better team, more wins, promotion back to the Championship) might eclipse the 300k it cost you originally. Whereas I would rather quietly move the player along. We've had many players down the years with issues as do all clubs. I mean it's not like Thomas assaulted a female Paramedic and I can think of ex Town players who have done far worse than that Thomas isn't the first ego Each to their own but I'd rather we signed a quality player than pretending we have some high ground and we'll never recruit another footballer with an ego - because we'd be fishing in a small pool if we did |

I doubt anyone in the game didnt already know exactly what hes like. We loaned him out at a time we were struggling and short of options..Blackburn soon started leaving him out and didnt try to sign him...no one else came in and signed him either. So I doubt Andre was breaking any news to anyone. Just got to hope a manager or two is willing to take the risk if we want to sell him. Maybe But how many times have you seen a Manager slagging players in the press conference. It's incredibly rare In no way does it help us sell Thomas. That should have been said behind doors rather than AB getting out a megaphone to scream about it. Things like I've never experienced this is my career - I mean really. I think we can all agree now that AB had decided he had no interest in staying at Huddersfield so his motivation was either distancing himself from the results or spiting the players or both. I don't know if you've ever listened to the Undr the Cosh podcast with Peter Swan, but the lack of professionalism from him - particularly at Plymouth - was astonishing. If he can be that bad, I wouldn't rule out the same from other players. |
