But Moore did for the same reason Corberan didn't, big team bias from the officials and VAR. Bollocks. They finished with the highest points total ever for a team not to be promoted. It's not like they scraped into the play-offs on the last game of the season, is it? If Corberan had masterminded a second leg where he'd overturned a 4-0 deficit, people like you would have been wanking him off. Yet when Darren Moore does it, it's all because of referees and VAR? Fucking hell fire, the amount of shite I've read on here today is unbelievable. You'd think we'd appointed the U9s manager of Dalton Dynamoes by the way you're all kicking off.  has the semi final result got to do with Barnsley having a man wrongly sent off and a blatant penalty for handball denied by VAR. The Wendies were played off the park for an hour by 10 men then won with the last kick of the game. |

Jake Edwards said it in the press conference that they have got a overseas manager with a track record signed up also it was all on the examiner from steven chicken and matt glennon all said about this mystery overseas manager who ever that could be no one knows and now all of a sudden is Darren moore ! He's a Jamaican international |

You're not the only one to claim this, but it's wrong. We announced Warnock was staying on 14th June. Moore was sacked on 19th June. I thought that we were going to employ a manager that has just become available? He probably has, unless he wanted to start working earlier and forego most of his Sheff Wed compo. Which he probably didn't. |

Whatever the club say it’s clear the lack of backing in the transfer window and the tweet from Nagle (Warnock’s response as well) is the true reason as to why Warnock Is leaving. Warnock has obviously been paid/told to keep his mouth shut on the real reason. He has, however , laid it on thick that this squad could challenge for the play-offs. Clever. It means Moore fails if he doesn’t achieve that or nearly that. Americans don’t like being told what to do, especially when it’s their money. Good luck to Moore if it is him. Wednesday fans were in meltdown when he was fired. You obviously don't spend much time on footballs funniest website aka Owlstalk. Half of them wanted him sacked after failing autos and the rest wanted him sacked before the second leg of the play off v Peterbrough. |

For those that are so against this new manager. Take a minute to look at this record and ask yourself why you're so against it? 2017/18 – West Brom. Premier League. Took over from Pardew on 2 April with them 10 points from safety. Went unbeaten in April, beat Man United away, won PL manager of the month. West Brom get relegated still. 2018/19 – West Brom. Championship. 4th in the league with 10 games left. Gets sacked. West Brom go on to lose in play offs. 2019/20 – Doncaster. League 1. Season gets stopped early due to Covid. Donny miss out on play offs narrowly on points per game. 2020/21 – Doncaster. League 1. Wins manager of the month in September and January. Win every single game in January. Gets headhunted for Sheff Weds. 2020/21 – Sheff Wed – Champ. Takes over in March with Wednesday in relegation zone. Misses a number of games due to getting Covid, and then pneumonia. Wednesday go down. 2021/22 – Sheff Wed – League 1. Great finish to the season taking 16 points from 21 to get Wednesday to 85 points and in the play offs. Lose over 2 legs to Sunderland. 2022/23 – Sheff Wed – League 1. 20 games unbeaten. Sheff Wed tail off at the end of the season but finish on 96 points. Not that it’s official but when it first looked likely have to admit was initially disappointed.Maybe because it’s not the most exciting. Truth is we don’t exactly need exciting right now do we. He seems to have done an adequate job everywhere he’s been without blowing peoples socks off football wise(although I was forwarded a message earlier from a west brim fan that said he was fairly expansive there,but mainly down to having better players) I also had a look at his record for myself like you have pointed out and you can’t really fault it to be honest. Caveat that with like i mentioned elsewhere a Wednesday mate saying football wasn’t great there and sometimes struggled to affect games in game.However overall it seems a solid appointment. He’s not going to come bowling in like foth and upset everyone infact probably quite the opposite as supposedly everyone gets on with him,so can build on what seems a positive atmosphere with the players already.Happy to see how he goes without been too far one way or the other. Tough start mind…Cov away,Ipswich at home then brum away. |

Speaking to a Wednesday supporting mate he is very much a possession based manager. Which is absolutely not what we should be doing. We need to be playing the percentages like how Warnock is, until we back Moore with players more suited to playing it about on the deck. We will be in trouble if Pearson and Lees have to start passing it to each other at the back. Like they did all season when we finished 3rd a couple of years ago? It’s been years since we had a manger who was such universally liked as Neil and Ronnie are, yet the board seem to have ignored this. Nobody wanted this. By pushing out one of the most popular and successful managers the club ever had now means that there is massive pressure on the board which they have brought on themselves and didn’t have to be the case. |

Warnock was only going to do 1 year max so the owners have every right to put in place their long term plan when they were ready to do so.
Also, I can't really think of any potential new manager that would have a record comparable to Warnock.
I guess many of us were hoping for a left field appointment such as a Wagner or Corberan and in regard to that, Moore seems a solid but not an exciting alternative. I wish him every success and he might exceed our expectations
