This thread needed starting.
Welcome to HTAFC and good luck.
Needs to start well and get the palyers and fans onside, to be fair to him he does have a good record so far and seems well liked, it could of been more inspiring but it also could of been a lot worse. I however dont see DM as the person we have planned around for some time, this has only come about in the last few weeks.
Shame about NW leaving so soon, but as soon as he gave the interview about the lack of singings it was only a matter of time.

Remember feeling a bit dirty in May when a small part of me was happy Wednesday went up just because I was happy for Darren Moore.
Seems like a top bloke, and yes that doesn't mean everything, but I would be confident he could get the best out of this squad and will be a man the players respect. That at least is a step up from 2 of our last 3 managers.

Fucking hell lads, you’d have thought we’d have appointed Mark Fotheringham from the sounds of it!
I understand the disappointment but I think a lot of people had their hopes quite high up with Graham Bloody Potter as manager. Im not sure whether I’d have swapped Warnock for him either personally. But, I think it’s a good appointment. He got Wednesday promoted despite being 5-0 down in the first leg. That takes some mentality!
“Moore worked hard to change the mindset and mentality of his staff during the run-up to the 2nd leg. He forged a togetherness and belief that anything was possible during training and tactical sessions. He even prepared his team with 'real time' penalty shoot outs where he re-enacted crowd noise, embellished by academy players and staff behind the goal to create a hostile atmosphere. He also analysed and shared numerous football come backs to build confidence and a will to win. Furthermore he reached out to the fans, producing a personal video message played before kick off to galvanise and ignite S6 on the night of the return fixture.”
That’s the sort of stuff I’d love in a manager! I think it’s a good appointment. Is he better on Warnock on paper? No, but if a club was going to snap him up, what else can we do when Warnock does leave? What is better, three years of Darren Moore or one year of Warnock?

Seem to remember something similar happened when we hired that useless chancer Fotheringham - brand new poster started a thread out of the blue announcing the appointment and it turned out to be right. No disrespect to Moore, because I don't think he's a bad coach at all, but I'm hoping this is a wind up. Just fed up of being underwhelmed and living in hope of somebody a bit more inspiring at the helm.

This isn't a criticism of you because we're on the same page but then I thought about who would actually inspire me AND is realistic and I really struggled

And...it's not the original poster that has named Moore, it's a football journalist.

Silly question at the end warnock has a grip of this squad and is starting to get results Moore very underwhelming might be a nice bloke but he got a massive side up via playoffs with one of the best squads in lg 1 By skin of his teeth. I fear for the rest of the season if true Hope I'm wrong. UTT

I really don’t understand getting rid of Warnock for Moore Bizarre Agreed. Moore might have an OK record but no comparison to Warnock's CV. Didn't Moore nobble one of our players once too I forgot who it was? Shite decision making once again.

If true at least it's not Jones! That’s probably because he’s still getting a fat pay check from saints or the wages he now commands is out of our budget

Must have missed the formal announcement. Silly me. Same here. As said elsewhere, if Moore was let go from the massive before we appointed Warnock for the season, why make the move now, when it could have been done before. Doesn't fit at all.

If it is Moore he comes across as a decent sensible bloke - is he a good manager? Time will tell.
One positive to potentially grip onto, didn't he leave the massive after not being backed? In which case you could assume he is going to be backed, or at least to a level he thinks he can work with.
Another positive, he left after being successful in his last job. To that end his career is on an upward trend.
Am I excited (if it is him)? I am ambivalent and will hope he gets the team playing well and is supported (by Mr Nagle).
