Someone told me on Saturday that Nagle wasn't happy with Ann's negativity, or what he perceives as negativity, and she had to go.
Whether it's true or not is a different story.

It was portrayed to me by someone semi reliable as more of her being 'we don't do it like that, we do it like this'. And her insistence on doing things her way to a certain aspect. Wether it's right or not I have no idea. But if so I can understand Kn intention.

Heâs not doing a bad job in pointing us in the right direction imo.

I am just a little concerned about this, we have had a few people on here spreading stories leaked after Warnock was let go. I hope we are not seeing a case of the club leaking stories. It could all just be people making up stories, lets hope it is.

It could all just be people making up stories, lets hope it is. Business leaking stories is another thing that has happened forever. Leak a bit then when the whole story comes out folk arenât as bothered because they knew most of it anyway The previous leaks were when DM was driving us all insane with his dreary football and the same dim wits that were saying he just needed more time were passing stories on about how everything was all Warnocks fault. Apparently the summer transfer debacle was all Warnocks fault and Cartwright was blameless, lets not forget that they accused Warnock of being a naught boy but could not say what is was. I just hope that in spite of what we are seeing, we don't have a management at the club that wants to manage opinion by making up stories and leaking them via the deluded. Or is it just rumour mongering the ignorant.

New bean counter in the house too. Hasn't the commercial director left too? A while back I think I read on here. Has he been replaced?

What I find interesting about this thread is that, in my assessment anyway, there seems to be evidence and undercurrent of trying to find a stick to beat Mr Nagle and his team with. I don't know what has happened and there is no doubt that when a long serving member of staff leaves it will naturally cause debate. That debate however doesn't necessarily mean that there is a sinister reason behind the change.
I would note that many of us have had cause to challenge how the club is run from time to time. One of the observations that is sometimes made is about those who are the key decision makers at the club. I don't think Ann has particularly come in for any specific criticism but equally is there not a case for bringing in fresh ideas and approaches. 30 years in a similar role is a long time and perhaps both parties would benefit from a change and a fresh challenge?
The other observation I would make is how familiar are any of us with the day to day role Ann had, and how she performed it? A change is most likely to be mutually beneficial.

Let's face it the club needs a new direction as behind the scenes we've been falling behind for years. The stadium hasn't been looked after at all and the same can be said for the facilities around it. Food and drink has been well below standard and that includes the hospitality experience compared to others.
Everything needs a revamp and it looks like KN agrees.

Barnsley is lovely in spring. ðĪŠ If she has been pushed, Ann will have a couple of years' remuneration as a pay off to soften the blow, and she has got fixed up quickly. Barnsley is no worse than Huddersfield. In fact much of our Town has become a right sithole. It has, in fact if anyone hasn't ventured in for a year or two prepare to be shocked and a little bit depressed if you do, its a proper shithole.

That article suggests AH made the decision to leave the club. A lot of previous posts have suggested the decision wasn't hers to make. Anyone ITK able to give a view on these differing positions?

We have been calling it a declining shit hole for about 30/40 years.

There never was one, as you can guarantee that 20 years ago, people were moaning that it wasn't as good as it was 20 years before, then 20 years before, people were moaning that it wasn't as good as it was 20 years before that. Rinse and repeat.

I'm not generally one for conspiracy theories, but my perception and experience is that people generally do not leave a role willingly after they have amassed 30 years' service unless they retire. It's a bit like Shawshank Redemption ("a man becomes institutionalised") or they are hoping for the bullet or waiting for the maximised pension to retire. Not to say it doesn't happen though.
