Would tick all the boxes wouldn’t he? Unfortunately I think our appeal is non-existent. Too much of a merry-go-round the last few years. We needed a year of stability that a manager like Warnock could have given us.

I can’t believe people think we would have a chance of getting him even if we were managerless at present which we are not but we should be!

So, let’s say, we pay off the rest of DM’s contract, then give SC whatever salary he wants. Is KN then to spend yet more money in zJanuary on players? Some folk are very quick to spend somebody else’s money. Than say not enough was spent by the tight fisted chairman. Reality check required. No, you're right. Let's keep this useless fucker we've got and just get relegated instead. As opposed to sacking, paying off, buying new manager who may/not be better, but we then have no money left to buy players? Aah yes. I see where you’re coming from.. I fear that you are someone with whom I must agree to disagree about the use of any available club funds. Hey ho.

I would've said it'd be a hell of a job to find someone that's not as shit as Moore, but this is Town.

Reality is being relegated watching terrible football and the Chairman then refuses to put additional funding into the team. We need both a New Manager and an injection of cash in January

Ugly?
He looks like John Merrick after he's been bobbing for chips in a deep fat fryer before doing the Attestupa head first off the roof of the Victoria Centre flats.
Bloody good manager though and I'd have him here in a heartbeat.

Plymouth manager Schumacher has just been announced as new Stoke City chief. So Warnock can go in at Plymouth and we can stop paying his regular money ....thus we can get shut of Moore with the Warnock wages being saved in theory!!! Then get Steve Cooper in as replacement!

It’s the cost the club have made for themselves for appointing a cheap option. And yes whether it’s DM or a new manager, they will need more players in January. Again a problem the club has given themselves for several years and once again not dealt with in the Summer by the new regime. What’s the reality of the cost of going down to League 1 and maybe spending a few years down there?

The only way that the imbecilic decision to sack Warnock would have made sense is if it were done now, when someone with of the calibre and track record of Cooper had become available.
Even then, I'd say it would have been highly unlikely that we could attract him.
It would have been worth a shot though.

I’d take him in a heartbeat but suspect he is massively out of our price range now. He inherited a squad that were massively underperforming (worth far more than our squad that season) and won at Wembley with an own goal and two blatant penalties not given. I'd have him if he'd be guaranteed to bring his luck along with him.

Ugly? He looks like John Merrick after he's been bobbing for chips in a deep fat fryer before doing the Attestupa head first off the roof of the Victoria Centre flats. Bloody good manager though and I'd have him here in a heartbeat. Quote from The Telegraph after Cooper's sacking: "There did not seem a consistent, identifiable style of play. When they were without forward Taiwo Awoniyi the entire set-up seemed to collapse and Cooper reverted to a low block.
Forest have won just two of their 28 away games since promotion, losing 19 of them.
Tension started to build in the dressing room. Scott McKenna, the Scotland international, was frozen out after the club made it clear he would not be getting a new contract.
Cooper then had a major disagreement with Joe Worrall, the Forest captain. Worrall was informed on the morning of the game against Aston Villa on November 5 that he would not be in the match-day squad. Reacting angrily, Worrall did not attend the game as he did not feel in the right frame of mind.
Reporting to the training ground days later, he then had a heated confrontation with Cooper and was instructed to train with McKenna away from the first-team squad before matches. From ‘matchday minus 2’, and sometimes even earlier, they were given personal programmes and only called in to train with the first-team when numbers were low.
That situation occurred only weeks after Worrall had endured the tragic death of his uncle. Two of Forest’s promotion heroes had been coldly discarded.
Some players also clashed with Cooper and the coaching staff over what they regarded as inconsistent team selection.
Two summer signings, Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos and £11 million recruit Andrew Omobamidele, have not made a single league start while Nuno Tavares and Gonzalo Montiel – the latter a World Cup winner with Argentina – have just one each to their name so far. There will be inevitable questions over recruitment, and they are entirely understandable.
As results nosedived, the atmosphere at the training ground is said to have become ‘strained’ in recent weeks."
Obviously not perfect - "Marinakis has spent more than £250 million on fees alone since promotion" - and they are 1 place above the relegation places.

Can’t believe anybody is suggesting that Town have a chance of landing him. He’s not only way out of our range for quality, but he will also cost money. We’ve more chance of Tommy Cooper, and he’s been dead 40 years.

Is he really that good?
That Forest side had some good players in it which were being completely stifled by Chris Hughton. Players like Johnson and Spence are far above what most championship managers would be able to call upon and Brice Samba has been picked by France this year. Some very solid defenders too by championship standard.
It just seemed like one of those where everything falls in to place. Lift the morale, take off the shackles and get the fans onside. Let the decent squad do the rest

They spent 200 million n promotion because that championship team would have broke Derbys points record .

I'm not sure just how good a coach he really is but don't think he'd have the remotest interest in the Town job should it become available.

But let’s not let any of that get in the way of he needs to replace DM cos DM is shite and SC is great. As per usual Any managerial change is always a risk and mostly a fluke when it comes off

He'll spend the next 3-6 months collecting his pay from Forest before he even thinks about taking on a new job.

We’ve more chance of getting the chuckle brothers, and one of them a been dead years.
Steve Cooper, will not be coming to Town.
We are going to stick with Clueless Daz until he gets the sack in February/March time.
I couldn’t accept SC anyway after Wembley.

IF Darren leave any time soon everyone needs to forget Steve Cooper, he is currently way out of our range for the next manager.
need to look at more realistic options and do you feel many / any are better than Darren Moore.
