Regardless of how poor Blackburn might have been, what I don't understand is where the fuck that performance came from!
The desire, determination, effort, pace, skill, finishing ability, making our defence a wall so they couldn't ever truly test Chapman.
An all round top performance. Nobody really had a bad game.
We need to see more of everything we saw today though, far more often.
Fully deserved win though

He was in shock that we won. He didn't go straight down he stood around the technical area clapping all sides. Don't let facts get in the way of someone having to find something/anything to have a dig, bit of a shame. |

Is it right that Moore went straight down the tunnel? If so, is he even bothered about forging a relationship with us fans? I mean, I sort of get it when we are shocking and get turned over convincingly, but a 3-0 win at home? What a moronic post. Why try to desperately find a negative after such a positive result? |

Bloody brilliant today, all of them. And fuck number 17. One of the worst challenges I've seen at our ground, his only intention was to injure. It's the clearest red card you will ever see. Spot on. Checklist. Kicking or striking an opponent. No attempt to play the ball. (DOGSO, therefore, is irrelevant) Serious foul play. Red card, everyday of the week. The only saving grace, to me, is that a sending off would have given the more negative a reason to decry our victory. |

Didn't see that coming. Blackburn looked decent for 10 or 15 minutes, so well done Town for stepping it up and making them look poor by the last 15.
Zorg and Sorba up top, 2 wingers really, did us proud, set the tone. Full team did well. UTT

Darren Moore can go straight down the tunnel, stick v fans up at the fans and call them a bunch of twats on radio Leeds if we get that level of entertainment and commitment every home game. Who really needs to be waved at for doing sitting there watching football?

No idea where that came from but you could see us grow in confidence as the game went on once they realised we could compete with them.
Burgzorg had his best game yet. The tricks and flicks which don't usually come off did today but his direct running made a massive difference and their defence didn't like it. Awful tackle on him which should have been a red.
Hopefully we can carry on the same on Friday and it wasn't just a one off

I'd forgotten going to watch Town could be fun. Best laugh, though, was Tog giving the attendance as 20,000+. My young un works on the turnstiles and they were told that they were expecting about 13k.

Best 90+ minutes of football I’ve watched this season. Pride, tenacity, pace and some excellent finishing. Didn’t see that coming but enjoyed every minute.

Moore got it all spot on today; team selection, tactics, subs, the works. Good on him. Great team performance, and I’m glad I was there.

He can 'forge' £20s and pass them off in local newsagents, if we move onto the opposition and tackle and intercept like today. 3 good moves for the goals and more breaks today than we have had in the last month put together. The number of ludicrous fouls committed by Blackburn on Town players running away from them with the ball is promising. That our keeper, both of them, didnt have a save to make is even more promising. We were simply, generally further up the pitch, forget the possession stats, today they really meant nothing. Lots of good performances and we looked like a team. |

Much better today. Makes a nice change to come away from the stadium knowing the players gave everything for the badge and the manager has realised that we can actually attack teams and entertain the fans. In fairness it could have been more than 3 in the end. The clean sheet was important aswell.
We need to take this momentum into the Boro game now.

Generally his kicking was good, and I don't recall him having an actual save to make, which is also credit to the defence for keeping Blackburn away from his goal and making it a very comfortable and enjoyable debut for him.
Also nice to get a clean sheet, not just for him, but for the team, as it really doesn't happen often enough!

Unexpected but welcome performance and win.
We seemed to press much higher today, which meant we could win the ball back in the Blackburn half more often.
Lots still to work on, but the passing and movement was far better today. The goals all came from good passing sequences.
Blackburn were poor, but Town took full advantage with a performance full of intent and endeavour.
Middlesbrough play a similar possession-based game, and are inconsistent just like Blackburn. We need to approach Friday's game in the same manner. After Rotherham beat Boro today, there's no reason why we can't do the same.

Great Boxing Day.
Town Fans back to their best and it was great to hear the encouragement given to our rookie keeper.
Burgzorg - no end product? No idea what he’s doing ?
He has end product and whilst the leagues leading scorer did naff all - he was using mesmerising footwork in the Blackburn penalty area.
A joy to watch an exciting player.
Great all round display and I thought Wiles had a great game.

His kicking was okay, but his distribution was nowhere near as good as Maxwell's. Maxwell looked to pick out Town players - Chapman just went for distance. |

Well deserved win and just a shame it wasn’t more .
I criticise Moore when we lose so have to compliment when we win . Bold team selection to put Kasumu at full back and not REG . Wish he’d have rested Hogg , Rudoni etc… with 15 left but beggars can’t be choosers !

Headley. The old Gretsky quote, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take! Pleased that someone having a pop paid off as we definitely don’t shoot enough when in those types of positions.
That second goal was very enjoyable, great work from Rudoni I think setting Burgzorg off and great delivery and then emphatic finish from Sorba.
Lovely to shake off the negativity with a performance like that and seeing such effort across all the players. Let’s hope for the same again on Friday. UTT
