Who better to play when you're having a bad run i thought before the game, well that notion was shot down in flames, a rare nice feeling coming away from the ground.

Great afternoons entertainment, thought we were well worth the 3 points and dare I say it, it looked like some credit was due to the way DM set us up.

Don't upset the Town lackey hypocrites. 28901ShortbreadPeteLads, call it a day with the slanging match eh? It’s beginning to get out of hand. Season of goodwill and all that blarney. 🎅🏼🫱🏼🫲🏾 I called it a day a couple of days ago. All a bit silly but just banter to me. Happy New Year

No idea where that came from but you could see us grow in confidence as the game went on once they realised we could compete with them. Burgzorg had his best game yet. The tricks and flicks which don't usually come off did today but his direct running made a massive difference and their defence didn't like it. Awful tackle on him which should have been a red. Hopefully we can carry on the same on Friday and it wasn't just a one off He's becoming a real team player now. He released the ball more often than not at the right time and kept it when it wasn't the right time.

Looked a lot more potent up top which seemed to benefit the whole team. Blackburn were clearly ill at ease. A great deserved result at last, hopefully the Sorba Burgzorg combo will be kept for the next game.

If anyone watches the highlights of the Rotherham v Boro game, I think you'll agree Boro will wonder forever how the hell they got absolutely nothing from that game. They'll be riled for Friday, but that's typical the way things go for Town I guess.

I'd forgotten going to watch Town could be fun. Best laugh, though, was Tog giving the attendance as 20,000+. My young un works on the turnstiles and they were told that they were expecting about 13k. I think we now include Bradfords attendance in the figure we give out. How do they keep a straight face?

Superb today, even Yuta looked solid/wasn't targetted as the weak link.
Many individual stand outs today - The Zorg, Hogg, Helik, Headley, Rudoni (2 assists?)
Just shows our best 11 can compete against enough of the teams in this division when set up correctly - not with 3 left backs / 7 defenders.
Possession stats showed we had less than 40% possession again - which proves it matters not if you have the ball in the right areas and get shots on target by being brave and the system allows it.
Without being negative I think Wiles looked willing but doesn't seem to have a goal/assist/strong tackle in him and his legs have gone? What 25 year old CM is running on fumes 60 minutes into every game?
Also, corners - atrocious again.
Based off today and boro's loss aginst Rotheram I don't think there's any reason why we cant take another 3 points and really try to build a gapy between the bottom 3 - it's inevtiable that we will get spanked at leicester so need to keep a buffer if we can

What a moronic post. Why try to desperately find a negative after such a positive result? Someone texted in to Radio Leeds and said he’d gone straight down the tunnel! I was asking if this was correct as I didn’t want to believe it. Curly Whirly above said he didn’t and I liked the post. And I’m not a fucking moron Pete! I’m as delighted as everyone else is after today’s superb effort. Good man! I didn't say you were a moron and certainly not a f###### moron. I said your post was moronic. After a result we can all enjoy, I asked why you felt the need to try and find a negative about DM. The man has suffered enough criticism and deserves a break after today. Peace out

Obviously no back up, playing everyone in the wrong position and setting up to defend doesn't help. When we actually go at them we can be ok, Ipswich, Southampton and today.

I think in a game we win 3-0 and hogg runs the middle of the park, rudoni gets 2 assists and i struggle to recal Wiles creating much, breaking up much play or doing much other than being knackered again within 60 minutes.. Sound negative, just saying what i saw - i really want him to come good.

Thomas, Delano and Koroma. Wiles was good today. He looked like the player that I thought we had signed.

I've always thought we had a reasonable first xi. Obviously no back up, playing everyone in the wrong position and setting up to defend doesn't help. When we actually go at them we can be ok, Ipswich, Southampton and today. Spot on. When we do this we look less nervous and far more confident. Getting the goal was a big boost but we looked more dangerous going forward than I have seen us all season. Really impressed with Kasuma who was everywhere and Nakayama, in that man we have a ball playing centre back. Hogg was magnificent. When he saw we had them rocking he pushed right up to close them down in their half, a real leaders performance. Also like the way Chapman was organising his back line, I didn't expect to see that, I thought he might be a little subdued. The way the whole team protected him right from him coming on was so good to see. It's the first game I have actually enjoyed for ages. They had real fire in their bellies. I would love this to be the game that changes our season.

For all those who couldn’t be arsed turning up today can I suggest you think about turning up on Friday. I appreciate we are dead and buried in the relegation zone but please give the team one last chance. You never know we might stay up. Unlikely I agree but surely you can give the team one last chance!33

Said a week ago I thought a draw v Norwich, beat Blackburn and lose the next 2 which sees us through to year end. Sounds like we were good value for the win today and shows we can turn it on occasionally. Next 2 will be tough though. Would 3 points from a possible 12 over Christmas be acceptable if it comes to it?

I work away and on nights, so no chance to watch the game today.
For those that did attend/watch was it a turning point? Or just a smoke screen?
Hopefully the former!

Turning point would be too far after 1 game. A lot of work to do, but it’s a step in the right direction. We played well and picked up 3 points - as a town fan you can’t ask for anything else. I hope it is a turning point, as I’d be happy if we got more of the same!

Wow...I'll stay away more often...sods law innit I'm in the same boat, I just could not be arsed. Saw no reason at all to believe that today would be a positive performance and it's like DM has suddenly twigged that you do need to have a different plan other than defending for 95 minutes to try and sneak a 0-0 draw. Sod's law would dictate that if I go on Friday it'll be back to the usual shite and we'll lose 3-0.

Today was a step in the right direction for sure, a lot of things to like. In defence, we kept organised and going forward , we were quick and inscive but also support each other on the ball well. If we play like this more along these lines , then there is foundations to build on.

It should give us some much needed confidence going to in to Friday. A win on Friday would have us on 28 points leaving probably only a need for another 22 points to stay up, emminetly double from here on in...or am I getting carried away?

When we don’t sit with 10 men behind the ball we look half decent? Maybe let’s try that a bit more moving forward Im not sure how you got to that conclusion, Given that is how we scored 3 goals and won today.
