For all those who couldn’t be arsed turning up today can I suggest you think about turning up on Friday. I appreciate we are dead and buried in the relegation zone but please give the team one last chance. You never know we might stay up. Unlikely I agree but surely you can give the team one last chance!33 I couldn't be arsed going today, not because we're "dead and buried in the relegation zone", but because the football we see on the pitch is mostly awful with an obscenely defensive mentality to try and draw games 0-0. When we've made a conscious attempt to have a go at the opposition (Coventry second half, Ipswich, Southampton and today), we've looked better and got results. Surely now DM can see that the way to go is actually try to win games? We don't have to go all out attack (we don't have the squad for that), but we need to strike the right balance between defence and attack, which more often than not, we don't.

Good performance today.
Kasumu gave us real energy up and down the right and Wiles had a decent hour. Hopefully that’s the start of some good performances from Wiles.
I like Burgzorg. He can be as frustrating as anything, but at least he tries things

I know it can be hard sometimes watching us, but regardless, we should all be trying to get behind the team as we clearly need it. I have been very unhappy with how this season has gone and am fully behind fans voicing their displeasure to Nagle, but refusing to go to games just seems bizarre.

28901ShortbreadPeteLads, call it a day with the slanging match eh? It’s beginning to get out of hand. Season of goodwill and all that blarney. 🎅🏼🫱🏼🫲🏾 I called it a day a couple of days ago. All a bit silly but just banter to me. Happy New Year Good man, continue to enjoy the festivities Pete.

Going to the football is like going to university: only about 10% of the reason you’re actually there is to fulfill the primary remit. The rest is about what goes with it. You may as well decide not to play golf because you doubt you’ll break 80. Some of my greatest Town memories are from the camaraderie of moaning on the terraces when we’ve been utterly garbage!

Didn’t expect that today but very pleasantly surprised! You never know when the good performances/results are coming in football so that is what keeps you coming back - I even bought an extra two tickets today so my wife and daughter could join me and my boy in cheering us on.
Better balance today between attack and defence - still giving up a fair whack of possession but better intent and quality with the ball. We had loads of good chances.
Lots of strong performers but two guys worth a mention away from the usual:
Wiles - first half, best 45 I have seen him play for us. Contributed with and against the ball.
Nakayama - so important to have a defender composed in possession when transitioning from defence to attack
One game doesn’t mean all is good with the world and who knows if a false dawn or a step forward, but either way, it was nice to enjoy watching us play again and leave the stadium happy.
Roll on Friday.

Ask a fan of a top 4 team and they’ll probably bore you to tears about the glories they’ve witnessed. Ask many another club’s fans and the highlights will often be farcical. It’s all relative. If your only treasured memories from a lifetime of following a lower league team are victories on the pitch, you’re probably wasting your life most weekends.

Thoroughly enjoyed that today.
Looked dangerous at every counter and we seemed to press higher up.
Wiles, personally, had his best game for us. Burgzorg was such a threat, and he is a pure confidence player. Sorba and Delano look to be developing a good relationship.
Regarding that challenge from Carter. I think if he had of got a red, Blackburn would have sat back and we would have struggled to score. So even though I think it was the wrong decision, it was better for town!
Not seen replays, but sitting up in the upper tier behind the goal, I felt the keeper got a touch on the ball with the Rudoni penalty appeal.
Kasumu I feel should be right Wing Back, under Neil also, we seem much better with him there.
So pleased that Chapman kept a clean sheet. The save straight after half time was a good one!
It would have been nice to have seen Iorpenda for the last 10 down the left. 3-0 up and cruising, if you're not getting a chance then, then when are you going to get one?
Have to praise Moore for his subs though, all positive and didn't upset our rhythm.
Let's hope that we don't drop our levels for Boro.
Enjoy your evening all!!

Is it right that Moore went straight down the tunnel? If so, is he even bothered about forging a relationship with us fans? I mean, I sort of get it when we are shocking and get turned over convincingly, but a 3-0 win at home? ok

So much better that They pressed well as a team everyone to a man played very well indeed Now we need to continue this and gather some momentum, please don’t go back to the negative football. I’m going to say something now what will no doubt split opinion. Delano burgzorg has so much quality, make no mistake he’s not the finished article but I believe if he was in a top 6 team he would score goals. He’s quick, skilful, strong and a real threat in front of goal. Not sure which poster said he’s like another “diakhaby” absolutely no chance You either love him or loath him Fantastic town today and I’m happy to eat humble pie on that performance UTT Don’t think there is much pie left Kenny??

I have been very unhappy with how this season has gone and am fully behind fans voicing their displeasure to Nagle, but refusing to go to games just seems bizarre. I think you're confusing happy clappers with fair weather fans. Happy clappers are folk who are always happy with how the club is being run or always have an excuse for when things at the club aren't going well whereas fair weather fans are those who only go to games when the team is doing well. I'm not a happy clapper because I'm actually pissed off at how shit this season has been and I blame DM for a lot of that. I'm not a fair weather fan because if I was, I'd have barely watched a game in the last 10 years. I have a life outside of football and unlike some people, the reason I go to the football is to watch the football. I rarely go for a few pints pre- and post-match. I don't expect us to win every game or go all out attack, or outplay the opposition all the time. I don't think it's unreasonable though to expect some modicum of entertainment or attacking intent, whereas what we've mostly seen under DM is dull, flat, boring defensive football where often the only aim seems to be to stop the opposition from scoring. Today I decided that rather than sit through what I expected to be yet another incredibly dour 2 hours of football and get bored out of my skull as has been the case on many occasions this season, I'd spend the afternoon with my parents instead at their house watching football on the telly. If that makes me a lesser or unworthy Town fan, then so be it.

Someone texted in to Radio Leeds and said he’d gone straight down the tunnel! I was asking if this was correct as I didn’t want to believe it. Curly Whirly above said he didn’t and I liked the post. And I’m not a fucking moron Pete! I’m as delighted as everyone else is after today’s superb effort. Good man! I didn't say you were a moron and certainly not a f###### moron. I said your post was moronic. After a result we can all enjoy, I asked why you felt the need to try and find a negative about DM. The man has suffered enough criticism and deserves a break after today. Peace out I appreciate your reply Pete. 🙏🏻 Moronic : (informal) Behaving in the manner of a moron; idiotic; stupid. I just found the wording of your description a bit strong, but I’m a big enough person to accept my query could have been worded better and it could have read that I was trying to be negative. I also apologise for the f word. There was no need for that. I want to clarify I’m truly glad that what I heard on RL was incorrect, and today was a good day for Huddersfield Town and Darren Moore.

Superb today, even Yuta looked solid/wasn't targetted as the weak link. Many individual stand outs today - The Zorg, Hogg, Helik, Headley, Rudoni (2 assists?) Just shows our best 11 can compete against enough of the teams in this division when set up correctly - not with 3 left backs / 7 defenders. Possession stats showed we had less than 40% possession again - which proves it matters not if you have the ball in the right areas and get shots on target by being brave and the system allows it. Without being negative I think Wiles looked willing but doesn't seem to have a goal/assist/strong tackle in him and his legs have gone? What 25 year old CM is running on fumes 60 minutes into every game? Also, corners - atrocious again. Based off today and boro's loss aginst Rotheram I don't think there's any reason why we cant take another 3 points and really try to build a gapy between the bottom 3 - it's inevtiable that we will get spanked at leicester so need to keep a buffer if we can Rudoni had no assists. Thomas, Delano and Koroma. Wiles was good today. He looked like the player that I thought we had signed. It is correct that Rudoni didn’t have an assist. On the other hand, neither of the second half goals would’ve happened without his essential involvement.

Very definitely a good player in there as far as Wiles is concerned. He's just looked massively low on confidence. Hopefully today was the start of much better things for him. Sorba was great today, massive effort.
