Does anyone know if there's free street side parking within 20 mins walk of the Etihad and if so where.

I went to the Man City v Sheff Utd game on Saturday and parked on Coatbridge Street, Clayton. It was the closest i could get to the ground before parking permits were required. Nice simple 20 min walk to the griound from there.

I've never actually been to the ground but I work about a mile away and there used to be plenty of places to park near to Clayton Vale, around the intersection of Ten Acres Lane/Bank Bridge Road/Riverpark Road.
NB. This was a few years ago and I've only ever parked in these areas at lunchtime on workdays. Will probably be completely different when there's a match on?

Ten Acres Lane. It’s perfect just drive as far down as you can following sat nav stopping before the houses and parking on the curb. Really easy to get out just carry on to the end of the street and turn left back to the motorway.

Work at MRI and there's a lot of free parking in the estates south of Ashton old road and Hyde Road. Traffic wardens are ninjas on match days so dont park daft if there's signs up. Just go a few streets away. There's bugger all pubs near the ground though.

I just remember parking when Citeh played at Maine Road... "50p to mind yer car Mister". Now that brings back memories. My old man told a young teenager “if there’s a mark on my car when I get back I’ll come and find you “ Surprise it wasn’t torched 😂😂😂. Just looked it up. April 1984. Wow. We stood on the kippax and me and my mate just went round hoovering up the 50p coins the home fans were throwing at us
