Does that mean he’ll be more of a hammock in the 25/26 season?

Sounds like there may be some kind of appeal process that could grant him bail again. No idea if that's true. I reckon QPR are down without him.

Interesting one really. You have to feel for the poor bugger who was assaulted of course, but this might be the sort of thing to galvanise the team.
Unless they all think he’s a bit of a pillock and he deserves what’s been handed down?
Also interesting that this is the first time this has been discussed on here, so was it just kept low key intentionally, or did someone pay for a reporting embargo?

How it should be, should be private until found guilty of something or else you always have accusations even if found innocent.

So him bashing someone over the head with a rock may galvanise the team?? Don’t quite see that connection bro 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ 🍻🍻

No..
I wouldn’t class hitting someone with a rock as being a bit of a pillock either..

Oh dear. What a shame. 😂 To be fair, I don’t want us to stay up because of another club’s misfortune. I want us to stay up through our own endeavours. But if push comes to shove, and it kept us up, wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

If he threw the brick , he’s lucky to only get one year. The people he surrounds himself around also sound like utter morons, hope he gets what he deserves hell in prison.

I'm certainly no lawyer but in layman's terms I'd say that confirms that he's been found guilty!

Let's see if he rocks up to play against Rotherham tomorrow. That should decide it.

I doubt he'll be allowed to leave Belgium, while the appeal is ongoing. Just in case he flees from the UK to somewhere else. Reading one of the articles. The attack took place in France, yet the case is being heard in Belgium. A bit odd is that.

Sentenced but he is allowed to stay out-of prison and appeal. In the UK are you not taken down on the day then you start the appeal process ? Belgium different?

I'm not well versed on the various different legal systems in place across Europe. People like to grumble about the English legal system but it's far more "just" than many others. A lot of European countries don't have juries at all in their trials.

But if push comes to shove, and it kept us up, wouldn’t lose sleep over it. Didn't do us any harm in 2012 with Ched Evans, and his conviction was later quashed on appeal.

I think he means the name shouldn't be released to the media and public until proven guilty in a court of law. In response to the initial poster saying this case hasn't been reported on much. There have been a few young footballers who've had their names and accusations released to the media, and had their career badly damaged. Later to be found innocent. Jack Diamond a recent example, different charges buf you know what I mean.

You can't simplt sentence an innocent man, or an accused man - he has to have been found guilty.

I was just referring to the point he was making about names not being released until proven guilty.

From a QPR forum. Good to know we're not the only ones obsessed with puns.
"Apparently they’ve tabled an appeal. Not too sure he’s got a leg to stand on. I hope his lawyer couched his defence appropriately when he approached the bench. It all started when the driver got in an argument and tried to deck Chair. The club were hoping to sit on this until the end of the season. Hopefully we can still build a cushion between us and the bottom 3 by the end of the season without him."

If you’re sentenced you’re taken straight down here. You can appeal from prison. QPR statement is weird and vague. Makes me think he can’t leave Belgium . Or France. Wherever he is.
