Big, Big, game today for sure - Really could do with a win in this one...
It is a little more promising with the new signings but what a bloody injury list - it’s enough to make you pissed 😬
Up at the family home in Connel for ma niece’s birthday on Monday (22 all being well) so a sober day at the TV for Sky Soccer Saturday -
Let’s hope for a win - any win of sorts will do...
We got outta jail after last weeks disappointment v Plymouth Argyle as every other result went our way but it’ll in all probability probably not pan out that way today -
So a win please Darren if ya don’t mind me begging for that outcome... 🙏
Will give prediction nearer kick off time !

A game which could go either way given the respective form of Blackburn and Town. I think this is an acid test for DM and his long-term future, despite injuries etc., we should have enough to get a result.

Well assuming we're going to see some new players today, this is your supposed chance Darren to show some of that supposed sexy football we were promised on your arrival. ( I gather the injury list is still crap, but admit I haven't checked, so there's your excuse still) I'd love to believe we'll see it, but I'm not optimistic.

There's a feel good factor amongst the fans even with only 2/4 new recruits available. If Moore suffocates that with his tactics and game management then that could be the final straw.

This has a bore draw written all over it. I’ll go for either 0-0 or 1-1

Nichols
Thomas Lees Hogg Helik Spencer
Matos Kasumu Rudoni
Koroma Healey

I think it’ll be Sorba and Healey up front, Josh K on the bench. The rest of the team will be as last week.

Blackburn are in freefall after taking just 4 points from their last 9 games.
Their keeper is shit.
Their defence is shit.
We have at least one new striker available and arguably the best crosser in the league.
If ever there was a game to go for it, it's this one.
So naturally I'm expecting us to sit back, hand Blackburn the initiative and once we're a goal down, bring off any attacking players and replace them with defenders.

Nicholls Lees Helik Spencer Kasumu Matos Rudoni Jackson Sorba Healey Koroma But think will go 3-5-2 with same back 3,Hogg in midfield,Kasumu still at wing back and sorba and Healey up top, koroma dropping to bench.

They're a bit of an odd one. They have the Championship leading scorer, but they also have the worst defence in the league.
So they could score a hatful, or if we actually go for it, we could get a hatful. The goals conceded means you have to at least try to go for it, because clearly they're not very good at the back.

Feel good factor was there last week and it couldn't really have fallen any flatter. The new signings have managed to bring it back a bit this week and we've got to take advantage.
Blackburn won't be allowed to sit back like Plymouth did last week so that should hopefully be better for us and our lack of any sort of guile in the middle of the park.

Another game where he'll be shoehorning players into a formation that doesn't suit the players available.
I'd go with
Nicholls
Jackson Helik Lees Spencer
Kasumu Matos
Koroma Rudoni Thomas
Healey
Every player in their natural position with an attacking threat against the worst defence in the league.

1-0 down after 60 minutes and he brings off Healey as advised by our 'Carry on Doctor' medical team. You know it.

All eyes on the team sheet today. That will be make or break for me.
DM gives little away and is often coy with respect to availability, but I’m not optimistic that it will include Radulovic or even a cameo from Balker. Which means we’re actually worse off than Plymouth because there’s no REG to deputise from the bench.
Matos to be carded within 30 mins which will nullify his game and subbed by 60 mins to avoid suspension. He’s got real ability, but I don’t think he’s used to chasing the game and he needs to understand how to manage that enthusiasm.
EDIT: Matos 7/2 with PP to be carded at any point in the game. Printing money.

Dear Darren..
Please play full backs at full back..
play wingers Ont wing..
And a striker as a striker..
I know it sounds radical..
But it works..

The bingo machine DM uses is the cage type with a handle on the side so he can pick the team on the coach.......'right back boss', 'its number 18 Kasumu, two weeks running, lucky you'..

Have to say, I don’t agree with that at all - it’s a lazy opinion. DM may not play players in positions, or the formation we think he should, but we can be near assured of the first 11 at the moment because of who is available. It’s not as if we have players on the bench that can do a better job. Or even options from the bench.

I'd go with Nicholls Jackson Helik Lees Spencer Kasumu Matos Koroma Rudoni Thomas Healey Every player in their natural position with an attacking threat against the worst defence in the league. With the players we’ve got available it couldn’t suit this formation more. But he seems adamant we’ve got to play 5-3-2 and thus taking away players playing in their best positions.

To be honest, with them having the worst defence in the league, if you're not going to go for it today, you're never gonna go for it

Flat back four would have won the points last week (IMO)......DM will stick to what he only seems to know.

He isn't brave enough to change it, even though we're averaging less than a point a game and we don't have the players available to play it, he'll continue with this failing 352.
