We don't have a strongest 11, due to the quirks of some of our players and how they combine, our defence and midfield has no obvious best lineup. Nicholls in goal, front 3 of Koroma Burgzorg and Thomas. Everything else could be one of 5 or 6 combinations. The only automatic selections in defence and midfield for me are Rudoni and Helik.

Not sure this is even a thing. We now have a squad with competition - but it will need good mgmt / selection tinkering as opponents vary massively. Yes and no. Certainly, whatever side each of us has picked, you would probably change things from one game to the next depending on form, fitness and opposition. But as a fun exercise in picking the strongest 11 players that makes a viable formation it's a thing.

Or more. Could go with a 3-4-1-2: Nicholls Lees Balker Helik Headley Matos Kasumu Thomas Rudoni Healey Radulovic A viable 1st choice XI that has neither JK nor Burgzorg in it, and puts Sorba at wing back. Not necessarily my pick for now, but who knows what Herr Brighton-Writer has planned.

This isn't football manager ffs. Lighten up a bit pal, bloody hell aren’t we allowed to talk about preferred players and formations; it’s literally a staple of a football forum.

Nichols Pearson helik balker spencer. Thomas matos kasumu koroma Rudoni Burgzog Btw, picking a team for next Saturday, given Helik should be back but Headley wont. Our best 11 really does fluctuate with the injuries. The bench is better though. Watford like Hull have centre backs that would like us to kick it higher and longer and they have 2 or 3 who love to overplay but wont take kindly to rudoni, koroma, matos and kasumu chasing and bothering them.

The new manager is adaptable on formation by all accounts. He has played a 3-1-4-2 before but also the squad setups well for a 4-2-3– that we have been playing under worthy. If it’s the former i would go Nicholls Balker Helik Yuta Matos Spencer Kasumu Rudoni/wiles Headley Radulovic/burgzorg Thomas/Healey
The latter formation Nicholls Spencer Helik Balker Yuta Kasumu Matos Sorba Rudoni/wiles Burgzorg/koroma Burgzorg/Healey/Radulovic
The high press high energy game which I’d imagine we now adopt doesn’t seem to suit Radulovic no matter the shape but good managers can fit good players into systems(if he is that good player)let’s see where we go with it.

Left back remains an issue. Headley great going forward but poor defensively. Don't think Yuta's ever had a good game as a left back.

Don't think Yuta's ever had a good game as a left back. 100% Spencer has done well there but he’s naturally right footed which is an issue.Headley is more a wing back doesn’t seem to suit playing as out and out full back although he’s never really played the role so hard to say for definite. Yuta could on the ball and can pick a pass, maybe the most natural there if you have balker at the side of him covering with his pace.

Once again everyone quick to sideline Hogg after a bad game. He’s the old head you need in there and was close to MOM the game before.
Nichols Spencer. Helik. Balker. Yuta. Hogg Sorba. Matos. Rudoni. Burgzog. Bojan.
Maxwell. Pearson. Lees. Headley. Wiles. Koroma. Healey. Kasumu

Kasumu With regards to Hogg I think it's because the bad games are more regularly out numbering the good now and also altering the way the team as a whole performs.

For this squad to get relegated this season would be utterly ridiculous with the players available.
We've had an unbelievable run of injuries coupled with the stupid decision to hire and stick with Darren Bore.
I think the 11 above would compete in the top 10 next season should we have a competent medical team too.
I've seen relegation sides, full of mercenaries, overpaid players and those simply not good enough - this team absolutely isn't that - it has been let down by those above.
