Out of the current squad, when all the players are back from injury, who would be in your starting 11. For me:
I’d play a 4-5-1 (4-3-3) Nicolls
Spencer. Helik. Balker. Headley
Matos
Kasumu. Rudoni
Thomas. Burgzorg. Koroma
So much pace and power in that team. Perhaps bold call taking out Hogg but I think Matos is perfect for that DM role and Kasumu is such an asset who I think is really underrated.

With a fully fit squad we at least have some decent options and alternatives now. Not sure what the best position is for Zorg myself. I think he may be better out wide than through the middle but it would be tough to drop Koroma or Thomas.
I don’t think we need Matos and Hogg in the same team and from what Matos has shown so far I’d be tempted to go with him.

For me it's a 4-4-1-1 Nicholls Spencer. Helik. Balker. Headley Sorba. Matos/Kasumu. Rudoni. Koroma. Healey Burgzorg
Rudoni can play just behind the striker if Healey ain't playing well with 2 of Hogg, Kasumu and Matos in midfield.
Bench Maxwell Pearson Lees Nakayama Hogg Wiles Diarra Radulovic Ward Jones
Radulovic is a good sub for Burgzorg because if Burgzorg isn't playing well he can come on for some link up play which I think will gey us a few goals before the end of the season

Looks good on paper, but in reality - probably needs a old head out on the pitch. Feel like you need at least one of Pearson, Lees and Hogg in the team.

Nicholls
Spencer Balker/pearson Helik Headley
Hogg Rudoni Matos
Thomas Koroma Burgzorg
Maybe bojan or Healey might change my mind over time. But that's the strongest 11 I think at the moment

As I posted elsewhere, it looks to me that the new centre forwards are very poor signings (who was responsible for that) - It could be a complete waste of money! They wouldn't be in my team.

Nicholls Spencer Pearson Helik Nakayama Hogg Thomas Koroma Rudoni Radulovic Bergzorg
I think Thomas and Koroma link up well, I think Hogg beats out Matos, I think Pearson and Helik will score a goal a game if they both go up for every set piece, I think Nakayama is better than Headley on his best day, Spencer’s on great form at the moment, Rudoni can put in a cross or a set piece if it’s not Thomas, play him on the other side. I can see Bergzorg and Radulovic’s different styles complementing each other best.
..but don’t listen to me, I’ve had a few beers 🍻 😂

I’m really pleased I am not picking 11 players to go on the pitch when all our squad is fit, regardless of Saturdays result we have true competition for all positions. I do feel our back line has got a lot stronger with Balker although I’ve only seen him play against a very poor Sheffield Wednesdays team. However when the day will come when we have a fully fit squad !

Is Helik our number one defender? If so does he get to pick his preferred partner or is it a case that AB will decide from what he sees in training who he picks. Noticed Lees a couple of times yesterday asking Balker to step up higher & on both occasions he wouldn't....Interesting to see who gets the nod at Watford.

The above would be my team as well. With Helik and Balker as the CB paring that gives Spencer & Headley license to bomb forward. Headley might not be the best defensively, but i’d be ok with that with those 2 CBs

Who can defend at LB? I’m assuming you’re going to say Yuta as I know you’re a big fan, but I’ve seen him have some absolute shockers. Leeds he got ripped to shreds. Good on the ball, but Headley suited more to the Championship for me with his physicality, and links with Koroma well.

I really like Headley but I think he's better further forward and having 2 full backs that bomb on is a big risk if you aren't one of the best sides in the league. Having said that the manager does seem to prefer 3 at the back looking at Zurich and Hoffenheim.

Not sure this is even a thing. We now have a squad with competition - but it will need good mgmt / selection tinkering as opponents vary massively.

Nicholls
Helik Balker Lees
Spencer Matos Rudoni Headley
Thomas Koroma Burgzorg
A best XI that leaves out:
Maxwell Chapman
Ruffels Jackson Yuta Pearson Turton
Hogg Kasumu Diarra Wiles
Ward Radulovic Healey Jones
That's also ignoring players out on loan, Harratt with his suspension and Tom Edwards on the grounds that he's dreadful.
All in all I don't think we are short of decent players. A bit more balance with a few more left footers, a bruiser up front and a creative metronome type of player and I think we're not far off.
