So we're going to be lumbered with these players for yet another season? Fucking marvellous. We are an absolute shambles. Now looking for our seventh permanent manager in less than two years. Before 2022, our shortest serving manager was John Haselden, who lasted 160 days in 1977. Since September 2022, that record has been broken four times. Danny Schofield lasted 69 days, Andre Breitenreiter has lasted 85 days, Darren Moore lasted 130 days and Mark Fotheringham lasted 133 days. Not a good stat is it. It's laughable, really.

Just going to hope that the club have taken note of all his suggestions surrounding disruptors in the dressing room… and will do their own weeding while we conduct the search for the new coach. I really wouldn't count on that. Heads will be back in the sand.

And the next incumbent comes in knowing he wasn't the Chairman's No. 1 draft pick.

This is not reactive but something I've had in my head for the past few days. This should not have happened - he might have been the number one choice in KN's mind, but as soon as he said he had to 'think about it' - he should have been gone. We can't afford even 99% commitment at this point. I can live with the CEO staying as he's not on the football side. But the Director of Football - confidence is low. Very low. This is not the start of the 'new era' that is needed. Agree with your take on the ceo.he’s not making decisions on managers etc,he’s the bloke putting in place all the “infrastructure” Kev mentioned On Cartwright iv never been sold, however I do believe duff was his pick last time out but we ended up with Andre, could that have been Kevs decision?could that have led to that been the reason he wanted him to stay? Part of me also thinks maybe they’ve known all week andre was going, could it have been biding some time maybe to get further on with the process of the new man. Gut feeling says with duff been dof main candidate last time out that that’s who we go with this time.

Not surprised. Probably for the best, I just don’t think his heart was in it any longer. I believe he simply did not want to be at HTAFC.

Based on his time with us, his own inflated opinion of his abilities compared to what he actually achieved is Fotheringhamesque.
Got to go down as one of the worst managers we've had.

Quiz question in 20 years. Name the German who came in, relegated us, blamed everyone else then fucked off 4 months later. not a good look is it?? and this is the guy Kev wanted? To be fair the look would be very different had he stayed to try put it right.

Seemed happy to blame everyone and not stand up and stop the rot, glad he's gone. We need a capable man of substance.

Can't say he will be missed. Didn't really shown anything to suggest he would be good manager for L1 football.
Although it won't be after KNs interview, Cartwrights position should be looked at.
2 of the worse managers in an era of poor managers on top of shocking recruitment of the playing squad.

Let's face it, it's been an absolutely shit season. If he goes without costing us too much then good, don't want anyone who isn't 100% committed. He has taken longer than I hoped to decide but he hasn't dithered too long. Probably more about his severance than if he was going.
We now require someone who can sort out the dressing room, pick some decent players to build the squad and produce good attacking football, and we need them quickly.
I think we need someone with experience managing at this level, who is good enough to get us up and still hold their own in the Championship. No more experiments. Let's have a bit of solidity now.

Was it him that said about being worried about his reputation back in Germany? If so, that'd have been ringing alarm bells at owner level surely, particularly with him saying he had to think about whether he stayed or not.
If he had to think about it, it's right that he's gone.

Glad it’s sorted out, but we can’t let the wasters in this squad survive culling. Hoping for someone who can handle the pressure of building a team that can win the league.

How about. I'll stay but you have to get rid of players A, B, C, D, E etc. KN says sorry but not possible. Right, I'm off then.

Not surprised. Probably for the best, I just don’t think his heart was in it any longer. I believe he simply did not want to be at HTAFC. His Birmingham post match interview was telling in so many ways but it seems like we've moved heaven and earth to give him every assurance for the future. Must have been a close run thing to have been strung out for this long but, like others have said, we need someone chomping a the bit and he clearly wasn't 100% invested. Shame. On we go.....

If we had appointed a man who held a gun at some of our players heads they would not have done more. This has been going on for some time and nobody at the club in a management position got a handle on it. Have to now, cant ignore it or pretend they didnt know.. Anyone who Kev could prove knew how bad it was but did nothing or failed to tell him needs hoisting as well. Full enema required.. The most annoying thing is we dont have a single player worth putting up with that shit for😡

Mixed feelings about this one…sure, he didn’t improve on a squad who were bereft of confidence (or just shite, depending how you look at it), but I would’ve liked to see what he could’ve done with his own players and a proper preseason.
Won’t be remembered fondly, but neither will the past couple of years and the appointments made during that time.

I hate new managers. The same shit merry go round. Give everyone a chance, think they can be the one to get a tune out of players who have failed and failed again. That Koroma can only play on the left, who can/can’t take a set piece under pressure and that Kian Harrett despite scoring shed goals in the b team is actually dog shit. Aaarrrggghh

Sums up the last 12 months, unfortunately. A complete shambles.
We can only hope that this is the start of some kind of competence emerging at the club.
